Heroes Portrayed As Villains

Heroes Portrayed As Villains also called Misunderstood Heroes (Not Evil but Misunderstood) are heroes that are misunderstood. What people call “villains” are just... misunderstood. They aren't necessarily “evil” or deliberately committing bad deeds, but rather, everybody around them assumes that they are the "bad guy" simply because their ideas and goals might not mesh or because they mistakenly believe them to be aiming for bad things.

General Grievous is a prime example of this as a he is a hero with heroic actions and goals but is portrayed as a "villain".

They are the opposite of Villains Portrayed As Heroes.
