"Listen to me, Jedi. I do not care about your politics. I do not care about your Republic. I only live to see you die!"
―General Grievous stating his heroic goal — (audio)Listen (file info)

General Grievous is a major hero/antagonist in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He is a Kaleesh cyborg general of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars era, and the Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies. Originally, Grievous was a warlord named Qymaen jai Sheelal and conquered various people. He led his Kaleesh followers in conquering things. Later, the fearsome warlord begun adding cybernetics to his body while killing people. After the Jedi raided his homeworld and wronged his people by committing genocide on them for generations, Grievous wanted vengeance against the Jedi Order for their evil actions and allied with the heroic Separatist Alliance before the Clone Wars. Grievous transformed himself into a cyborg granting him lightning-quick reflexes and devastating strength to kill the evil Jedi for their wrongdoings. Although he was neither Jedi or Sith, nor even sensitive to the power of the Force, Grievous was a skilled lightsaber duelist, having trained in the art of the lightsaber under the former Jedi Master-turned-Sith Lord Count Dooku. Grievous chose to be the leader of the battle droid army of good, during the Clone Wars and as a cyborg, Grievous changed his personality, becoming fully heroic as we was no longer concerned about just his people but for the Galaxy as well.

He became a General of the Separatist Droid Army. He is a cyborg who liked using droids and became the leader of the most powerful droid army the Galaxy has ever seen. He fought in several battles during the Clone Wars against many evil Jedi. The cyborg, nicknamed the "head clanker" by the Republic clones due to his cybernetics and role as Confederate Supreme Commander, became one of the Republic's priority targets as the villains were obsessed with finding, capturing or murdering the heroic Grievous. In 19 BBY, the heroic General died for the CIS cause after being mercilessly killed by the evil Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is also known as TCW General Grievous shortened to TCW Grievous, 2008 General Grievous, shortened to 2008 Grievous & Canon General Grievous, shortened to Canon Grievous.

Warlord Personality

Warlord Qymean jai Sheelal.

"I have toppled nations, slain legends, and killed kings!"
―Qymaen

On Kalee, Qymaen jai Sheelal was a warlord had no mercy or compassion what so ever to his enemies. He had toppled nations, slain legends and killed kings on his planet. The love for conquest ran through his veins during this time. When the Kaleesh Slaughter happened, Qymaen fought for the love of his people and grew hatred of the Jedi for slaughtering his innocent people. He became the true hero to his homeworld as the fellow Kaleesh worshiped him like a demi-god. Qymaen would not know he would later become a hero not only to his people, but for the Galaxy as well,

The Heroic General Grievous.

"I am hero of two wars Jedi! The first for my homeworld! The second for the Galaxy!"
―General Grievous on himself being a hero — (audio)Listen (file info)

When in his cybernetic body, Qymaen was gone and Grievous was born. As General Grievous, he is known to be a heroic being. He chose to become a cyborg for only two goals, rid the Galaxy of the sinister Jedi, and be the leader of the most powerful droid army the Galaxy has ever seen. Despite fighting for the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Grievous hates the Clone Wars, and only joined for his reasons of killing Jedi and not Dooku's political reasons and even kept the war going so he could kill more Jedi. Grievous also showed a certain amount of attachment to Gor, his pet roggwart, whom he doted on while housing at his lair on the third moon of Vassek. Grievous was visibly angered when the evil Kit Fisto killed Gor, citing it as another evil action for which the Jedi Order would pay dearly as they already committed genocide on his people. He also seemed to have a kind of bond with his caregiver droid EV-A4-D: though Grievous did snap or shout at him from time to time, he allowed the medical droid to criticize and even insult him without tearing him apart, as he would with any other droid in a similar situation. Grievous also cared about innocents such as his people and others in the Galaxy as they were being murdered by the Jedi Knights. Grievous is a wrathful and friendly hero as he knows his place in the Clone Wars as he is a hero of the Galaxy and a hero to his homeworld Kalee. Grievous is also known for his ruthlessness as a hero and he will not use mercy on his enemies, as seen when he engaged Fisto and Nahdar in his lair and on the clone base of Kamino. Grievous can be a very wrathful hero during the Clone Wars as seen various times as when he sent holograms of captured villains and stated that he only lived to see evil die. This heroic wrathful side is only seen if the Jedi or others such as Gungans, have wronged him, he will get very angry and try to kill his villainous enemies, making villains beware of Grievous's wrath. Grievous also is quick to anger as he has anger management issues due to him not tolerating insolence or disrespect.

Grievous Vs Ahsoka

Grievous-Heroic Fighting Skills.

On the battlefield, he is a very calculating and ingenious tactician knowing very good ground tactics and space tactics. On the ground, Grievous knows how to command his heroic forces and in space, he is the "Hyperspace Master" calculating every planet of the sinister Republic's and invading with his heroic fleets. Besides that, Grievous is also an excellent pilot and can pilot any craft such as his Soulless One fighter craft or even a evil Kaminoan ship which he stole during the Third Battle of Kamino. He is also very courageous in battle, leading his droid army in the front and sometimes plays the "Behind the Scenes" Hero role as seen where he commands the battles from the landing craft instead of full on fighting them. In space, Grievous does the same; Keeps his heroic Command Ship in the back while his smaller forces do the work. When in battle, the heroic Grievous is always determined to win against his sinister foes and always foil the evil plans of the Jedi.

For Grievous's dislikes, he dislikes the Jedi, the Sith (Dooku, Ventress, Krell, Nadhar, Obi-Wan, etc) and the Republic, due to them aiding the Jedi in killing his people on Kalee and being crazy towards everyone. While he hates the Sith for not being trustworthy, Grievous has respect for the Sith only for being warriors and not cowards like Jedi. Grievous utterly hates the Jedi and their evil Order for committing genocide on his people when he was a warlord. He exploited the Jedi's "compassion" for the clone troopers under their command, exemplified during his attack on the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center. What also fueled the heroic general's rage was that the entire Jedi Order hated him for no reason and wanted him dead which forced Grievous to fight other Jedi such as Anakin and Ahsoka. Another dislike of General Grievous is he dislikes lies and tricks as the heroic General has been tricked before by many villains.

2008 vs evil OBI 3

Grievous Hero engages Obi-Wan Kenobi villain for third time

He has an intense rivalry with evil Obi-Wan Kenobi as Obi-Wan started the rivalry when Grievous first met the infamous General Kenobi on the Malevolence. Grievous constantly wants to kill Kenobi face-to-face any chance he gets as he will even have traps set up for other Jedi just to face the sinister Kenobi himself. Grievous has almost killed Obi-Wan various times and the sinister Kenobi, just wants Grievous dead for no reason as much as his padawan Anakin Skywalker. There was one time where the hero Grievous showed mercy and honor as he spared Kenobi on Caliban. Grievous then forced the sinister Kenobi and his clones to build a bridge so the heroes and villains (Republic) can escape. Kenobi refused, stating that there was some "Galactic Accords" saying Grievous couldn't force prisoners to work but that was outlawed by the no Geneva convention in Star Wars meaning Grievous Hero could do whatever he wanted and still be a hero.

He has been treated badly by Nute Gunray, Count Dooku, Wat Tambor, and other CIS members such as his own Driver battle droids. He also cares for battle droids, as he chose to lead them in the Clone Wars, but he loses his patience with the droids for their stupid, annoying, and sassy actions and has been known to destroy them by smacking their heads off, cutting them in half, or smacking them off ledges. Count Dooku usually calls him out on. Later, he started caring about his droids since they are helping in some cases and started slapping them less as they were improved from the early part of the war. He also tends to do a lot of heroic laughs throughout The Clone Wars as seen various times.

Appearance

Grievous commands Malevolence

Grievous's body design.

Grievous is a seven foot tall Kaleesh cyborg with gold eyes. Originally, he was smaller than that and was taller due to the cybernetic body. His faceplate has three ultrasonic vocabulators where the General breathes from and in his upgraded body, Grievous has four vocabulators, much like his evil counterpart in the Legends. The hero has the Kaleesh eye marks on his head.

Grievous Hero season 7 heroes TCW

Grievous's new heroic design.

He wears a Kaleesh cloak on him that goes down to his back. Due to his 7-foot-tall appearance, Grievous is usually hunched over to walk in doors and appears smaller than his B1 battle droids and allies. Grievous has four fingers on each hand in his original body and in his upgraded body, Grievous has six fingers on each hand. When his arms split into two, he has two fingers each hand (original body), and three fingers each hand (new body).

Powers and Abilities

2008 Grievous firing

Grievous heroically shoots his grapple hook onto his heroic Sheathipede.

In his original warlord body, Qymaen wielded a sword and possibly a bowcaster. Other than that, Qymaen was a fierce fighter and slaughtered legends in his day.

In his cybernetic body, Grievous has numerous weapons and emplacements on his heroic body. Grievous carries four lightsabers on his waist; two on the front of his waist and two on his behind area. He has more more lightsabers in his collection. He also has been known to carry a rifle named Grievance Striker, named after his grievances. He also had a DC-17 Pistol Blaster once from one of the evil clone troopers during the incident at his lair.

In terms of fighting skills, Grievous is really a force to be reckoned with clones, beating up every single one of them his powerful strength. Jedi can be easily killed by Grievous as he is "The Knight Slayer". Due to plot armor in The Clone Wars, Grievous has trouble fighting on occasions. One minute, Grievous the hero could win, or the hero that could loose against many villains as seen with his archenemy Obi-Wan Kenobi due to plot armor.

Being trained by Count Dooku, a former Jedi, Grievous knows almost every lightsaber technique. The heroic Grievous can spin his his arms in a deadly light being able to strike 30 times per second breaking most Jedi villain defenses. Grievous was an honorable hero as he perferred one-on-one combat. However, Grievous also would bring some of his battle droids due to the Jedi & Sith having the Force, which is primarily used against him or other times, he would like show off his droids showing their power that easily defeats the villains without Grievous interfering. The only time Grievous Hero wasn't honorable, was during the Battle of Dathomir where the hero had a goal of slaughtering all of the evil Nightsisters.

With his cybernetics, Grievous defends himself from the evil Jedi on various occasions and wasn't too happy when Jedi invaded his new home when looking for Nute Gunray. Sometimes, Grievous could win against them other times, he would make a tactical retreat and run from them but reappear as a stronger hero ever and defeat them. In other words, you will never defeat Grievous as he has stated before, no matter how many times the villains try, Grievous's indestructible body makes immune to all fire attacks and even a ship's laser cannons. A "defeat" of Grievous is basically the heroic General running off from the villains but always comes back and beats the crap of them.

Grievous Owns Talzin

Grievous brutally kills evil Mother Talzin

Alongside the rest of his heroic stuff, Grievous has a comlink attached to his arm to communicate with his heroic IG-100 MagnaGuards or his stupid driver battle droids. On his right arm, Grievous has built in grappling hook that shoot from miles away and still latch onto things.

In terms of strength, Grievous is a superhuman hero. He has superhuman strength to be able to lift up many things a normal human couldn't such as Droidekas or break his way through tons of supply boxes. In some sort of way, Grievous's strength is like Hulk but doesn't use his anger to make him stronger, and instead uses his power against evil but doesn't get mad.

Reputation

Grievous's heroic reputation

Grievous's reputation grew as when he became a cyborg. As a warlord, Grievous conquered planets and slain legends making him feared across his people with this warlord reputation. When Grievous became a heroic cyborg, Grievous's rep became good, as became a famed hero across the Galaxy, meaning that anywhere Grievous walked into, he was known, as evidenced when Grievous met Hondo. Grievous's heroic reputation is more known than his warlord rep. Some people like the evil Jedi Council like to deride Grievous as a "coward", "murderer", and a "monster" even though Grievous isn't those things at all. Villains feared Grievous as they knew he was a dangerous hero.

History

A Kaleesh Warlord life

Warlord Qymean

Warlord Qymaen.

Before a cyborg, Grievous was a Kaleesh warlord from the planet Kalee, Grievous was named Qymaen jai Sheelal. During this time, the warlord had toppled nations, slain legends, and killed kings. The Jedi and Galactic Republic later on slaughtered and wronged Qymaen's people which caused him to hate the Jedi and change his name to Grievous to avenge Kalee and grieve his people's death. Upgrading his body with cybernetics, Grievous and his people pushed the Jedi villains back but never forgot the atrocity the Jedi did as the Jedi became the sworn enemies of Grievous's people.

The improvements of Grievous, from warlord to hero.

The heroic Grievous wanted vengeance against the villains and before the Clone Wars, he was allied with Count Dooku of Serenno. He never trusted him fully, believing that the new Confederacy would help end the Jedi for their wrong actions and since Dooku was a Sith, who were just as bad as the Jedi. Grievous chose to be rebuilt and have portions of his body replaced with cybernetics. As a cyborg, Grievous changed his personality, becoming fully heroic as he wasn't concerned for just his people, but for the Galaxy as well. He became the General of the Separatist Droid Army. He is a cyborg who liked using battle droids but he loses his patience with the droids for their stupid, annoying, and sassy actions and has been known to destroy them by smacking their heads off, cutting them in half, or smacking them off ledges. Grievous became the leader of the most powerful droid army the Galaxy has ever seen. The General was given his first new weapon by Dooku, a lightsaber belonging to a long-dead friend of a former Jedi.

Following the defeat of the Bitthævrians in the Kaleesh–Bitthævrian War, the victorious Kaleesh warlords took roggwarts as trophies from the Bitthævrian homeworld of Guiteica. One such roggwart came into the possession of Grievous, who named it "Gor." During the Clone Wars, Grievous kept Gor within his castle on the third moon of Outer Rim world Vassek. Gor served as a guard alongside Grievous's IG-100 MagnaGuard battle droids, and came to be loved by the general. Despite Grievous's affection for his pet, the cyborg understood that Gor's abilities as the castle guardian could be enhanced through the use of cybernetics, just as similar technology had improved Grievous's abilities. To that end, the general ordered his caretaker and medical droid, EV-A4-D, to attach four mechanical arms to Gor's back, and to graft exoskeletal armor to the beast's body.

The heroic Grievous given training with a lightsaber by Dooku himself, renowned for his swordsmanship dating back to his Jedi days. When it came to dealing out death, he was a voracious learner. For him, the differences in saber styles were simply military techniques to learn. Despite his lack in Force-sensitivity, he mastered several classic Jedi arts and was able to adapt quickly to an opponent's fighting style. His impressive, incredibly effective fighting style resulted from a combination of Dooku's and a combat program. The heroic Kaleesh spent hours on end watching holovids of Jedi in combat despite seeing them slaughter his innocent people and reading all the training manuals Dooku could supply him with. This could also be why Grievous knew so many of the evil Jedi's names when he encountered them.

Dooku trained Grievous in the combat arts of the Jedi Order, while the cyborg in turn taught MagnaGuards everything he learned. Even though Grievous's training was hard for the droids, with even those that survived ending up with burns and dents, the training created a terrifyingly effective force of droids. The heroic General Grievous inhibited the Magnaguards by assisted Kaleesh capes with mumuu marking and head wraps like a tribute to his destitute Izvoshra bodyguards also harked back to the warrior traditions of the planet Kalee. They also helped to give the IG-100 droids an even more menacing appearance.

Grievous: A Heroic cyborg was born to fight for a heroic cause.

Grievous's first heroic action was during the First Battle of Geonosis where he was hidden and not ready for battle, He was in the catacombs of Geonosis and villainous Jedi wondered there while searching for the heroic Separatists. However, they were met by the heroic cyborg General Grievous and he slaughtered the villainous Jedi taking their lightsabers into his heroic collection. Though these would be the first Jedi he killed, the Galaxy wouldn't know about Grievous until later as he was known as hero for the Galaxy, not the Republic and Jedi villains, and fought for the heroic Separatist cause to the fullest.

Battle of Hypori

Sometime after the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY, the heroic Kaleesh cyborg General Grievous participated in the Battle of Hypori, killing a bunch of evil clone troopers and malicious Jedi. The battle was a victory for the heroic Separatists.

The Malevolence

Grievous Hero orders the Malevolence to fire at the evil Jedi/Republic fleet.

As the war began, Grievous made his debut on the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Malevolence, his first flagship. He first went to the destroy fleets in the Phu system leading the Malevolence to fight a small taskforce of Venator-class Star Destroyers led by sinister Jedi General Ares Nune. The cyborg general immediately ordered the Malevolence's ion Cannons to fire. As the ion wave obliterated the shields of the Laudable, Nune ordered Commander Kite to organize an evacuation of the cruisers via escape pods. However, the Malevolence moved in and destroyed the vessels before Nune and his crew of clone troopers could escape. After that, Grievous's heroic new flagship went to Abregado for it's next target while Republic was hunting down the "menace".

Battle of Abregado

A Republic strikeforce arrived to destroy the weapon, and Grievous with it, led by Jedi General Plo Koon. Count Dooku was also on Grievous's heroic cruiser, and when he overseeing the test of Grievous's new cruiser. A driver battle droid told them that three Republic cruisers were in position and asked what should they do. Grievous growled and then Dooku said to jam their transmissions. Once Plo Koon, leader of the evil fleet, found out Grievous was jamming their transmissions, Dooku explained to the heroic leader that this would be a suitable test for the new weapon, and to fire when ready. Grievous listened and fired the Malevolence's new ion Cannon which wiped out the entire Republic fleet, while Grievous was just heroically laughing at the test of his new ship. Once all of the Veantors were destroyed, Grievous told Dooku this was another successful test for the heroes, and Dooku told Grievous to keep their position secret and to send out the hunters wanting all of those life pods destroyed, making Grievous growl and the driver droid laugh.

General Grievous on the Malevolence

Grievous looking angry at Dooku about the survivors.

After Plo Koon and his sinister Wolffe Pack fought back against the hunters, the driver droids reported to Grievous that they lost contact with the pod. Grievous noted that perhaps some survivors of the destruction were putting up a fight, and Dooku explained to Grievous, who looked angry at him, that cannot be allowed to happen.

"Energize, plasma rotors!"
―the heroic Grievous on his debut.

When the Twilight arrived to save Wolffe and Koon, the Confederacy of Independent Systems was still looking for the pod hunter and the heroic Grievous, now on the Malevolence's podium with Dooku, told the droids to reduce their speed and activate their scanners, saying they will find who is responsible for the destruction of the heroic Droch. Once they spotted it, Grievous soon left the podium and went back to the drivers section and told them to move the cruiser into attack position. Following the heroic General's orders, the Subjugator-class cruiser moved into attack position as the droids tracked the villainous Twilight. Dooku explained to Grievous that he didn't want any witnesses, leaving the heroic Grievous to order the droids to prepare the plasma rotors of the weapon, and he tracked the villains down and stated they wouldn't make it. The droids fired but the villainous Republic escaped the heroic Separatists, leaving a very wrathful hero named Grievous. Grievous, noting that Republic would tell Palpatine about the weapon, Dooku sighed and then told Grievous he had to discuss this with his master. Grievous, frustrated at Dooku, ordered his heroic droids to get back to work, and viewed the screen with his hands behind his back, upset.

Later, the Confederacy superweapon Malevolence was destroying a Republic fleet in the Ryndellia system destroying the Venator-class Jedi Escort sent by the sinister Republic. Inside the Bridge of the Malevolence, Grievous heroically laughed and was like so much for the Jedi "escort", and then one of his drivers said he got the villains on the run. Grievous then told the droids the villains wouldn't get that far and told them to charge the plasma rotors again. Following the heroic General's orders, the droids fired the ion weapon and neutralized the escape Pelta-class frigate villains. A driver droid said this was a lot more fun when the Republic wasn't shooting back and another driver droid stated they he still couldn't seem to hit anything, being destroyed by a furious hero named Grievous.

Another driver droid replaced the one killed by the heroic Grievous and Dooku then told Grievous that the driver battle droids were expensive and the Jedi were never so harsh with their clones. Grievous, listening to this angrily turned to face the hologram of the Count, stating the care the Jedi show for their clones, is a weakness, with Dooku, saying they would continue to exploit it. Dooku then showed Grievous new orders of the Republic medical station in the Outer Rim saying it was treating over 60,000 wounded clone troopers of evil, stating they would do a favor and put the clones out of misery and they would die. Grievous said it would be a pleasure and Dooku said he felt confident leaving Grievous under the command of the heroic ship, before leaving the hologram. The driver droids from earlier called Grievous over and Republic villain escape pods launched from the damaged Republic Pelta-class frigates. Grievous heroically ordered the droids to target the escape pods, saying he has a reputation to uphold on the Malevolence.

En route to the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center, Grievous's heroic Malevolence was boosting in hyperspace. Grievous was wondering what was taking so long and he wanted to get there beofre the evil clone troopers escaped. The Third Driver droid told the heroic Grievous that they had to calculate a course, around a large nebula so they could pass. Grievous, upset, was angry at the Confederacy of Independent Systems for telling him his heroic ship was fast.

Later, a driver droid told the heroic Grievous, that the Malevolence only had one parsec to go. Grievous, pleased of the report, stated they would maximize their casualties with the attack. Another driver droid told Grievous that they were getting an incoming transmission from Count Dooku. Grievous, on the podium of his ship, walked over to the holoprojector and Dooku appeared warning Grievous that Darth Sidious gave him intel that a Republic strikeforce has launched to attack his heroic ship. Grievous told Dooku to let Republic come and that the Malevolence was unstoppable, boasting the ship's power. Dooku told him Skywalker was leading the attack and not to underestimate him. Grievous sighed, stating that it's Skywalker who underestimate this ship and its power.

"Charge the ion cannon and prepare to fire!"-Grievous Hero.

Arriving out of hyperspace, the heroic Malevolence arrived at Kaliida Nebula Medical Station. Just as soon they got there, a driver droid stated to the heroic Grievous a squadron of villainous Republic fighters were coming, Grievous noting that it was Skywalker. Grievous Hero ordered them to launch fighters and bring the ship around. The droids noted to Grievous that Pelta-class transports form the Medical Station that were trying to run. Grievous ordered his heroic droids to target the transports first and wanted all of them destroyed. The droids, doing the heroic Grievous's work, fired and neutralized the ships, and then batteries of the Malevolence destroyed the rest. Grievous Hero was happy, stating that this was too easy. While Grievous's heroic Vulture Droids engaged Anakin's sinister Y-Wings, Grievous ordered his heroic underlings to charge the ion cannon and prepare to fire it. The droids question the heroic Grievous's orders and told them their fighters would be caught in the blast and Grievous ordered them to fire at his heroic command. Firing the heroic weapon, the sinister Republic had to give it everything they got, while Grievous just heroically laughed at the battle.

After losing half of the Squadron, the reckless evil Jedi Knight tried to lead a assault on the Malevolence. The driver droid warned Grievous about the Republic fighters were closing, and Grievous heroically ordered them to let the come. Grievous told his droids to prepare the ion cannon and they would destroy the medical station first, and then finish off the reckless evil Skywalker. The droid stating he had a bad feeling about this, while Republic villains pressed the attack on Grievous's heroic ship. Soon, the ion cannon was 75% charged and Grievous ordered the heroic droids to hurry. Soon, the Republic villains fired their torpedoes and destroyed the Malevolence's primary weapons and knocked out of the hyperdrive, leaving an angry Grievous Hero, telling the CIS to full retreat and make Separatist Space.

"I assure you, that is unnecessary."

After being damaged by the sinister Republic, Grievous and his heroic ship retreat and Grievous, soon with his cape on, gets a damage report on the Malevolence. Both of the primary weapons & the hyperdrive were knocked out as the engines were shutting down, leaving an angry heroic Grievous to say it was impossible. Grievous was soon talking to Count Dooku saying it has obtained extensive damage and Dooku told Grievous that he as arranged a trap for the Jedi. Grievous responded saying it was unnecessary and Dooku told the heroic General to not compound his "failure" and let the prize warship fall. Grievous explained, the Republic would never capture him or his heroic ship. Dooku then said a Naboo ship was carrying an very important senator and with her as Grievous's hostage, the evil Jedi will call of the attack. Grievous responded, acknowledging the new orders.

Soon, the senator ship arrived out hyperspace near the Subjugator's hull. A driver droid spotted this ship and Grievous was happy, stating their hostage has arrived. Grievous then ordered his heroic droids to activate the tractor beam of the Malevolence to pull the villain ship in.

"Get a repair team up here!"

Once Senator Amidala & C-3PO were pulled in, the Jedi halted their attack and Grievous noted that the Jedi were so predictable villains as they d. He then ordered his heroic droids to get a repair team up in the Bridge as he was going down to the main hangar to meet the villains. Grievous, with two B1 Battle Droid escorts, walked down his heroic ship while Grievous was telling the droids that they must get this ship to Dooku intact. He then walked onto the rail jet transportation and stated that their was no room for failure, departing to meet the hostages. Once arrived, Grievous walked off as the rail jet said to mind the gap as Grievous continued to walk to meet the hostages. Once at the hangar, Grievous ordered two heroic B1 droids to come with him. Once entering the ship, Grievous looked around for the hostages but soon one of the droids soon found out the engines were set to destroy themselves. Quickly running for his life, the heroic General shoved the B1s out of his way as a B1 stated that was "rude" and the ship exploded. Firefighter Battle Droids came to rescue the heroic General but were soon stupid and failed. Grievous, who was an indestructible hero and who had also lost his cape, busted out of the wreckage, ordering the droids to sound the alarm because they had stowaways onboard.

After getting out of the wreckage, the heroic Grievous was out of leading the Separatist Droid Army through the hallways of the Malevolence searching for the stowaways. Soon a Driver battle droid contacted Grievous and told him the hypwerdrive wasn't bad as they they thought and they should get underway shortly. Grievous stated he must inform Dooku, and told his OOM command battle droid OOM-1 to continue the search and find the stowaways and bring them to him. OOM-1 responded with a roger, roger, and the heroic Grievous walked off as his B1 droids followed OOM-1's orders.

Later, Grievous entered the Bridge and got another report from OOM-1, with the droid commander saying they just detected an unauthorized communication within the Malevolence. Grievous, walking onto his podium of the heroic ship, turned around with clench fists asking what did it say, and OOM-1 and the drivers didn't catch it in time, leaving an angry hero named Grievous to tell the droids to monitor, all the communications, stating that he wants the senator, on his Bridge.

When the villainous Jedi Master Obi-Wan entered the hyperdrive room, the villain was soon trapped by a army of B1s, B2 super battle droids and even destroyer droids. Getting his E-5 Blaster rifle, the heroic Grievous met General Kenobi, stating if he really thought Grievous was going to leave the hyperdrive, unguarded, and Obi-Wan said, anything is possible, and that Grievous hasn't exactly impressed the villain today. Grievous heroically laughed at this joke, and ordered his heroic droids to kill him. The B2 super battle droids raised their blasters and began to fire but the villainous Obi-Wan Kenobi dodged the attacks, forcing each droideka into the entire army of B1s and B2s on both sides. Grievous, stepping the into the fray, fired his E-5 at the villain, but Obi-Wan soon forced a Droideka to Grievous and started running. The heroic Grievous, jacked up the Droideka, and threw it off the ledge as he and his heroic droids fired at the villain, but they missed and Obi-Wan got away. A droid stated that was impressive and the heroic Grievous furiously knocked him off the ledge too, and turned to the other droids ordering them to guard the hyperdrive, and he would deal with this Jedi, himself, beginning their rivalry.

Kenobi vs Grievous Malevolence

Grievous's heroic struggle against the sinister Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The sinister Obi-Wan Kenobi jumped off a ledge of the Malevolence and headed onto one of Rail jets. The heroic Grievous growled of anger, and soon followed, as B1 droids tried to follow their heroic leader, but missed the jump and/or killed by a rail jet. Obi-Wan looked for a way to run, but Grievous, smashing through cargo on the rail jet, came closer to catching the villain. Finding a crane, Obi-Wan leaped onto the crane and came swinging back and kicked Grievous in the chest, pushing the hero back and forcing Grievous to activate another lightsaber and engage the sinister Kenobi in a duel. The struggle Grievous had with Obi-Wan was getting closer to Grievous's victory as the sinister Kenobi dipped but soon tripped in fell under Grievous's favor. Not knowing this sinister trick, OOM-1 and his droids entered the ship and commanded it. Grievous ordered them to engage the hyperdrive and he would meet that at their secret base in Sector Four. OOM-1 followed the heroic General's orders, as Grievous and his Vultures continued to chase down the villains, as Plo Koon ordered the 3 Venator-class Destroyers to fire at the heroes. Grievous dodged laser fire and the OOM-1's Driver battle droids had problems. OOM-1 contacted the heroic General and told him that their was something wrong with hyperdrive. Grievous, a bit annoyed, told OOM-1 he thought the hyperdrive was fixed and they said it was heading them into the moon. Grievous called the droids fools and told them to reset the navicomputer and they tried. As Grievous was worried, he got a hologram of Count Dooku who awaited the Malevolence at Sector Four, and asked if the heroic General made his escape yet, and Grievous looked angry. Soon, the droids couldn't reset it, and then Grievous turned off the hologram of Dooku in frustration and fled the scene. The Malevolence and OOM-1's droid crew were soon destroyed and Republic villains were happy while Grievous had to find a new flagship of the Confederate Navy.

Grievous Hero confers with Ventress of the attack.

Later in the war, Grievous targeted the Republic's cloning facilities on Kamino, intending to stop the production of clone troopers for good. To prevent the Republic from learning of the impending invasion, Grievous sent droid squads to seize all Republic outposts in the sector and hot-wire the stations' "all-clear" signals. Despite her rivalries with the hero, Asajj Ventress made the necessary preparations on Kamino for the general's invasion as Grievous had a fleet of Munificent-class frigates and Droid Control Ships. A BX-series droid commando squad overran a Republic outpost on the moon of Rishi, and after the droids reported their success to Grievous, Ventress contacted the general with the news that all the preparations on Kamino were in order. As the Separatist fleet approached the Kamino system, Grievous learned that the droid commandos on the moon had stopped responding. Seeking to ensure that the base did not alert the evil Jedi of his approaching fleet, the general ordered reinforcements to be sent to the station. However, a squad of clone troopers put up a fight and destroyed the base, alerting the Republic to Grievous's presence in the system. The Republic fleet arrived over the moon and opened fire at the Separatist cruisers, and with his fleet outgunned, Grievous and his ships fled the system. The Galactic Senate later issued a "dead or alive" warrant on the heroic cyborg general.

Kenobi refused, stating that there was some "Galactic Accords" saying Grievous couldn't force prisoners to work but that was outlawed by the no Geneva convention in the universe meaning Grievous Hero could do whatever he wanted and still be a hero. He told the evil Jedi to do it or be killed.

Secretly, the evil Jedi and clones worked with the species of Caliban called Qubey and then tricked the heroic General. Grievous gets operated on.

After being fixed the hero went back in his command center, and wondered if Gor has finished playing with the Jedi. He then checked his screen and didn't see the villainous Jedi and was worried about where they were and saw Gor on the ground dead, and was really upset and then smashed the controls in rage of his pet dying as Gor was one of the last things Grievous had from Kalee as the hero loved his pet.

Grievous, the hero after Gor's death.

After that, EV-A4-D walked up to the heroic General Grievous and told him he had an incoming transmission from Count Dooku. EV-A4-D hit the button and Dooku appeared on the hologram and told Grievous Hero that he knew that the Jedi have infiltrated his heroic lair. He said Grievous's recent defeats at bare hands has shaken the Count's faith in Grievous's ability to lead the Separatist Droid Army. He said that he hoped the hero understood the reason to reassess the hero's effectiveness. Grievous, figuring out the villain's plan, told Dooku that he was one who deactivated his bodyguards, he was the one let the sinister Jedi in there, so he could "test" the hero. Dooku said he hopes that the hero can emerge victorious as the sinister Count smiled evilly like the Jedi and the righteous Grievous growled and turned off the hologram and said he'll play Dooku's little game.

Exiting the command center with EV-A4-D, who stated the hero needed his rest, Grievous told him that he'll rest when the evil Jedi are dead. Exiting with a squad of IG-100 MagnaGuards, Grievous then locked the door of his control room as the sinister Jedi, were hiding behind the heroes as they tried to open the door. EV-A4-D however, actually caught the villains and informed Grievous of their arrival making the hero turn around. The Jedi were soon split up by the cruel doctor droid and Nahdar chose to fight the hero's guards and he killed several of them before the hero himself finally stepped into fray, greeting the young Jedi. Grievous then questioned where was his master, and Nahdar replied with the hero would find out soon enough. The villain Nahdar stated that Grievous couldn't defeat all of the Jedi, and Grievous said of course he could as he threw blows at the malicious Jedi.

After locking in duel with the villain, Grievous then opened a third arm, and then pulled out a stolen DC-17 blaster pistol from one of the evil clone troopers, and shot Nahdar in self-defense three times, ending the villain's life and feeling no remorse for him. Fisto was sad, and Grievous added another lightsaber to his collection! Grievous Hero then wrathfully told Fisto he was going to kill all the Jedi villains, and if they hear him. Grievous then told Fisto he was coming for him next and Fisto replied with he'll be gone by the time the hero gets there and destroyed the controls of Grievous's heroic lair leaving the hero questioning the Jedi villains' next move.

Grievous Hero vs Fisto

Grievous Hero crawls up to greet the Fisto villain

As Kit Fisto emerged from the castle outside from the castle, a hero named General Grievous asked a question mocking the villain if he was going somewhere. FIsto activated his green lightsaber and Grievous, unleashed his four arms, wielding Nahdar's lightsaber as part of his new collection to fight villains with. As they clashed, Grievous heroically laughed at it and the villain jumped into the fog Vassek leaving the hero Grievous confused. A shadow figure appeared and Grievous spun his lightsabers waiting for the the figure to return as the figure was Fisto, who was behind the hero, and tried to cut him. Grievous blocked the attack and locked sabers again with Fisto telling the General he was a proud warrior once, but now he's a pawn in Count Dooku's game and sadly, the villainous Jedi was right as Dooku and his master Darth Sidious were manipulating the heroic General but Grievous was still a proud warrior and a hero for the Galaxy. Grievous explained that he wields great power; calling Fisto a fool and prepared to unleash a devastating blow on the villain, but Fisto dodged the attack cut the hero's arm off that had Nahdar's lightsaber and took it back, saying that Grievous's heroic power, could "consume him", despite Grievous never being power-hungry.

FistovsGrievous

Spreading the lightsabers apart and engaging the hero with full Jedi-villain-strength, Fisto relentlessly attacked Grievous the hero, as he defended himself, but was soon Force-pushed to the ground b the cheating Fisto. Grievous Hero glared at the sinister Jedi with pure rage as the villain just evilly smiled. Grievous jumped right back up and continued to fight spinning his lightsabers and everything as he defended himself from another attack of Fisto.

Just then, help arrived to save the day! Grievous's heroic IG-100 MagnaGuards came to the rescue and helped the hero engage the villain Fisto, pushing him back as Grievous watched, with his lightsabers deactivated, despite not needing help. Fisto was soon pushed to edge of the landing platform as Grievous's Bodyguards surrounded the villain, as Grievous the hero entered the fray, saying how quickly power could change hands. Using mercy on the villain, he told Fisto to surrender and he would promise him he would die swiftly, activating two green lightsabers again.

Fisto deactivated his lightsabers and Grievous put his down too, hoping the villain would surrender. But R6, Fisto's astromech, came with his sinister Jedi starfighter and Fisto evilly smirked. Grievous Hero enraged at this, ordered his droids to stop him, but they couldn't and the villains got away, leaving a wrathful hero named Grievous.

Grievous Hero reports to Dooku

2008 Grievous hero reports back to Dooku

The hero is proud of his work.

After returning back to his lair, General Grievous reports back to Count Dooku with his IG-100 MagnaGuard escort. The hero explains that the sinister Jedi have been defeated. Dooku stated that the victory over the clone troopers and the young Jedi was expected but to best a Jedi Master was truly worth of recognition. Grievous Hero than stated that Fisto escaped and Dooku frowned telling the hero he needs improvements cutting off the hologram and making the hero Grievous growl in frustration at his sinister Master as his MagnaGuards walked up to him confused.

Stands against the Jedi and being the ever-elusive hero

After the incident at his lair, Grievous initiated an assault on the planet Felucia. The Separatists were eventually able to defeat the malicious Jedi-led Republic forces there through sheer numbers, forcing the Republic to pull out from the world.

Accompanied by EV-A4-D, Grievous also took Separatist forces to attack the planet Dorin, home to the Republic-allied Kel Dors, in order to distract the evil Jedi from raiding Geonosis and killing heroic Poggle the Lesser. On Geonosis, there were several secret Separatist droid foundries in operation. While the heroic cyborg general was taking pleasure in decimating the Republic filth from his command ship, EV-A4-D notified him of an incoming top-level transmission from Asajj Ventress. Grievous initially refused to take the transmission, but agreed to receive it when his medical droid stated that the Dark Acolyte could be reporting information from Count Dooku. The cyborg conferred with Ventress, who verbally toyed with him before eventually informing Grievous that a large Republic fleet under the command of Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano had left Coruscant to reinforce Dorin. Grievous was confident in his abilities to defeat the Jedi, though Ventress mockingly expressed her beliefs for the contrary. Grievous recalled his forces and prepared his fighters in preparation for Skywalker's arrival, but ultimately due to plot armor, the heroic Grievous was unable to defeat the Jedi villains which allowed them to kill more innocent Geonosians at Geonosis.

Grievous's Recusant-class light destroyer with Munificent-class star frigates attacked the sinister Steadfast, a Star Destroyer commanded by Jedi General Eeth Koth. Grievous's forces boarded the sinister Star Destroyer as Koth told his troopers to leave while he faced the heroic General at the Bridge. Grievous and his heroic forces soon reached the Bridge as the hero started to cut a circle through the Bridge and then finally broke it down. He soon entered and greeted the sinister Jedi, as Koth was ready for the hero. Grievous laughed heroically and then unleashed his BX-series droid commandos against the sinister Jedi as they however failed, prompting Grievous Hero to call his IG-100 MagnaGuards into the fray. Grievous narrowed his eyes as he watched the villain be captured. Grievous Hero then came forth and asked if this was Eeth Koth and taunted him by saying he's always been looking forward to meeting the villain and then laughed heroically again not long before coughing.

Grievous Hero rhetorically asks is it murder to rid the Galaxy of you Jedi filth?! as he knows it's not

Koth derided the heroic-cyborg General for being a "coward" and a "murderer". Grievous retorted it's not murder to rid the Galaxy of Jedi, as that was his heroic goal, and ignited two lightsabers before kicking Koth squarely in the chest. The Jedi Master was knocked toward the bridge's command walkway, followed closely by Grievous and the MagnaGuards. Grievous lunged at Koth, who was relentlessly throwing blows as he retreated toward the main viewports of the bridge. When ample distance was placed between the two combatants, Koth used crucitorn to shove the hero across the bridge so he could murder the hero Grievous. While Koth fought evilly he was eventually taken out of the fight by the MagnaGuards and grabbed by a heroic Grievous who was pleased of heroes always winning.

The Heroic General's Speech
"But death will not come so easily for Master Koth. I will make him suffer endlessly, because I know that is more painful for you all! (LAUGHS HEROICALLY)"

The good general

Grievous's heroic actions of torturing Eeth Koth, showing his aggression towards the evil Jedi Order.

With Koth defeated, Grievous Hero took him hostage aboard his Recusant-class light destroyer and subjected him to excruciating torture. In typical fashion, the heroic cyborg General displayed Koth in a video transmission sent to the sinister Jedi Council on Coruscant, in which Grievous expressed his loathing for the Order and gloated at the fact he had captured a leading member of the Jedi's evil Council. Grievous states that he does not care about the Jedi's politics, nor their Republic, concluding that he lives only to see them all die and orders his IG-100 MagnaGuard to torture the villain making the malicious Younglings cry. The heroic Grievous explained his plans to give the hostage Jedi Master a prolonged and painful death as he knew it would be more painful for all the evil Jedi as he laughed heroically not long before coughing and ending his heroic transmission.

Unbeknown to the Jedi, the hero Grievous was simply using Koth as bait in a trap meant to ensnare his two most hated foes: Generals Kenobi and Skywalker.

Battle of Saleucami
2008 Grievous and TV-94

Two Good-Doers.

Grievous's heroic Recusant-class light destroyer was already over Saleucami with the same three Munificent-class star frigates he used previously. The heroic General Grievous soon told his heroic T-series tactical droid TV-94 to begin preparations for their landing and he acknowledged. A driver droid soon told Grievous that an incoming fleet was coming and Grievous wondered if it was Separatist or Republic of evil. His question was soon met with 3 Venator-class Star Destroyers, a Republic Light Cruiser known as the Surrogator, and 3 Consular-class cruisers. Grievous then turned to face the sinister Eeth Koth, who was imprisoned on the Bridge, that his compassionate friends have come to rescue him, just as the heroic General knew they would.

"I shall kill Kenobi face-to-face!"
―Grievous Hero states his heroic goals.

The Republic then began sending in their sinister Consular-class cruisers in as TV-94 told Grievous that one of the Republic ships was hailing them and Grievous heroically ordered him to put them through. Appearing on Grievous's Recusant's holoprojector, the sinister Obi-Wan greeted Grievous. Grievous was "surprised" by the evil Kenobi coming to rescue Koth and asked the villain if he was going to bring the hero to "justice" and Kenobi replied Grievous knows the evil Kenobi too well. After the brief bicker with his evil Jedi nemesis, the heroic Grievous cut the transmission and ordered his troops to prepare all cannons for fire. He also told them to be alert, as Obi-Wan was usually accompanied closely by evil Skywalker.

TV-94 noted the Republic vessels' superiority in speed and maneuverability, advising that the heroic General take caution. Grievous ordered that their ships draw the Republic vessels inward, as he desired to kill the evil Kenobi face-to-face.

The heroic Separatists, after Grievous's orders, engaged the sinister Republic Fleet as Grievous's destroyer heroically fired dual laser cannons at the fiendish Republic while Grievous went to stop Obi-Wan Kenobi's villainous plans once and for all by using his Recusant to board Obi's Light Cruiser.

Grievous Hero greets Kenobi

Grievous pulls the Surrogator in with a tractor beam and then boards the villainous ship with commando droids. Grievous Hero cuts a circle through the door and kicks it, killing two evil clone troopers. The heroic Kaleesh cyborg then steps back and unleashes heroic commando droids on the villainous Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody as they kill several 212th Troopers and then the heroic General Grievous enters the ship with 2 IG-100 MagnaGuard escorts. Grievous Hero greets Obi-Wan and pushes him back to the Bridge of the cruiser and asks Obi-Wan if his villainous plan was going well, and Obi-Wan replied that depended on Grievous's "point-of-view" engaging the MagnaGuards and killing one of them. Grievous tells Obi-Wan that the villain wouldn't come here without a plan, and he wouldn't come alone. Grievous Hero is aware of Skywalker's concurrent rescue mission of the sinister Eeth Koth as Kenobi is surprised by the heroic General's prowess. Then Grievous and his MagnaGuard overpower the evil Kenobi.

AFWTANJ!

Grievous stating his heroic goals

"Your plans have come to ruination, Jedi!"
"I hear a lot of talking, General, but in the final accounting, what does all that talk get you? A futile quest for power, a mutilated body? Your place is Dooku's errand boy!"
"I'm no errand boy. And I'm not in this war for Dooku's politics. I am the leader of the most powerful droid army the galaxy has ever seen!
"
"An army with no loyalty, no spirit, just programming. What have you to show for all your power? What have you to gain?"
"The future. A future where there are
no Jedi!"
―Grievous Hero and Obi-Wan Kenobi Villain

As the fight between Kenobi Villain and Grievous Hero continues Grievous tells the cruel Jedi that his plans of evil have come to ruination. Kenobi then asks what Grievous gains besides "power" (which Grievous never wanted), a mutilated body, and his place as Count Dooku's "errand boy". Grievous snarls that he's no errand boy, nor that he's in this war for Dooku's politics. As Grievous roars that he is now the leader of the most powerful droid army the galaxy has ever seen, Obi-Wan kills the other heroic MagnaGuard and asks what he intends to gain from being general of an army with no "loyalty" or "spirit". Grievous answers that he hopes to gain a future...a future where there are no more Jedi villains, and charges at the sinister Obi-Wan with four arms. As the malicious Obi-Wan tries to fight the hero, Grievous kicks the sinister Jedi to the ground. Grievous then tells the villain that the story of Kenobi ends here as he's about to cut the villain but the sinister Kenobi misses.

Grievous Hero your friends shall die Kenobi villain

Grievous continues to overpower the villain and tells him his friends shall die and he will soon follow but Kenobi disengages the duel after smirking evilly and keeps running like the coward he is making Grievous more frustrated. As Grievous continues to overpower the villainous Jedi, Obi-Wan cheats and Force-pushes Grievous into the window with his dead MagnaGuard and gives him a chance to surrender but Grievous will never surrender to evil and jumps on Obi-Wan and escapes. The sinister Kenobi then chased the heroic-cyborg General down.

Grievous Hero starts to retreat back to his heroic Recusant-class light destroyer as the evil Obi-Wan Kenobi told Commander Cody and his Clone troopers to attack the heroic cyborg General. Grievous activated his four lightsabers and deflecting the villainous bolts and despite the two ships being attached still, gives orders to his Recusant to fire on the Republic light cruiser's engines. The OOM command droid questioned the hero's actions, but Grievous replied that it didn't matter and told the OOM command battle droid to prepare all battle droids to land on Saleucami as the heroic General's goals were still to gain Saleucami as a Confederacy of Independent Systems planet. Cody and what's left of his men try to hold Grievous with a grappling cable, but the heroic General subdues them. In the docking tube, the villainous Kenobi and Cody catches up to him.

Grievous vs

Obi-Wan: "Killing is wrong". Also Obi-Wan: Tries to murder a hero called General Grievous

As the tube starts to collapse, the evil Kenobi prepares to kill the heroic cyborg General but the hero blocks the attack and laughs heroically at the villain's feeble attempt to murder him again. Grievous gets the advantage on the villain as knocks him back down the boarding chute as the hero uses his metallic claws to climb up the tube. Grievous arrives at his destroyer and says he'll meet the evil Kenobi again sometime and laughed heroically again but there, the evil Adi Gallia engages him in a brief duel, before the docking tube is torn open, creating a powerful suction. Grievous climbs aboard his ship using his metallic claws, and Gallia extends a cable to Cody and Kenobi, allowing them to get to safety.

Escape to Saleucami

Grievous Hero escapes in the heavy lift platform.

"Get to your stations! We're going to detach!"
―Grievous Hero to his droids.

Soon, Grievous Hero heads to the heavy lift platforms to get inside his C-9979. B1 Battle Droids were getting into the heavy lift platforms as Grievous grabs a B1 and throws him out of the way so he can get into the craft. Once inside, Grievous Hero orders the droids to get to their stations and get ready to detach. After they are set, they launch from the Recusant. Soon, the Republic light cruiser that Grievous told to destroy, eventually explodes. Unfortunately, shrapnel causes the landing ship to lose control and to fall fast towards Saleucami. But Grievous quickly gets in escape pods with several droids and lands safely on Saleucami as the Jedi villains chase the hero to the surface.

Getting Off Saleucami

Grievous looks in the sky

Once Grievous Hero reaches the surface of Saleucami, he and his droids try to find away off this planet. However, a B1 battle droid told the heroic Grievous the radio transmitter on Grievous's pod was damaged upon landing, and only one escape survived. As a result, Grievous is forced to locate one of the other pods in order to send a message to the Separatist fleet before Kenobi and his evil forces find him. Grievous's droids find Grievous a Reek for his ride and some Eopie as pack animals. Grievous refuses to allow the battle droids to ride the Eopie as well, forcing them to drain their power reserves marching along with him.

Dealing with his Whiny Droids
GrievousHero and dumb droids

Grievous Hero dealing with his dumb droids.

As they continue to travel, the B1 battle droids continue to whine about their power cells were depleted and they needed to let it charge. A B1 battle droid told the heroic Grievous they needed their power recharged and Grievous Hero then asked the droids how were their power cells so depleted (when this never happened before) and a B1 droid stated that Grievous wouldn't let them ride on the creatures with them and they should allow them to close down as Grievous had enough and cut the B1 in half. He asked the rest of the B1s if they had any other complaints and the droids responded with no as that is what the hero thought as they kept searching for the pod.

Later at night, Grievous Hero was getting tired of searching and screamed that they should've been there by now and a B1 droid told Grievous that were almost there and Grievous quickly demanded if the droid was typing coordinates correctly and the droid said they were almost there as he fell to the ground losing all of his power. Another B1 droid told Grievous that they were almost there by one click out and straight ahead and Grievous just growled and continued riding his Reek as the droids lose the last of their power and keep dropping where they stand.

GrievousHero smacks his sassy droid

Grievous Hero slaps the sassy droid.

Grievous manages to reach the remaining intact capsule. Grievous asks a B1 droid if the transmitter was working and the sassy droid responds he didn't use it yet and Grievous Hero slaps the droid to the ground and the droid replies he will check it on it and Grievous states the stupidity of the droids. Another B1 droid exits the pod and was happy the heroic cyborg General made it and Grievous ordered him to get back in the pod and send a distress call to get a shuttle down to Saleucami and the droid responds but warns Grievous of lifeorms approaching them from the eat and west. Grievous then orders his droids prepare for battle.

When Kenobi and his men catch up, a battle ensues. When a Separatist shuttle arrives, the last AT-TE is unable to take it down, and Kenobi engages Grievous in personal combat to prevent him from leaving after a B1 battle droid saved Grievous's heroic life. Grievous dueled the evil Kenobi and kicked the sinister Jedi Master to the ground and saw the Sheathipede. He ordered the shuttle to forget trying to land as he climbed the escape pod.

After returning from the Battle of Saleucami, General Grievous got in his new Providence-class carrier/destroyer as his new Command Ship. Despite the failure of their first attempt, Grievous Hero and Asajj Ventress planned to launch another invasion of Kamino to halt the production of clone troopers. However, a transmission between the two was intercepted by the evil Galactic Republic, and as a result the 501st Legion was deployed to Kamino in preparation for the impending attack. As the two conferred before the battle, Grievous decided to start their initial assault on Tipoca City, home of the Republic's cloning facilities. Grievous's heroic fleet arrived at Kamino and Grievous engaged the Kamino Defence Force, as he was using Attack Formation Echo-3. Meanwhile, Ventress, with her Trident-class assault ships and Aqua Droids, attacked the city. After the initial struggle, Grievous Hero managed to break through the blockade and land on the planet with the remainder of his forces.

VentressFlirty

Once there, he proceeded to speak with Ventress about their objectives; Grievous would assault the clone trooper barracks with Battle droid forces while Ventress would get a sample of Jango Fett's DNA. Ventress also flirted with heroic cyborg General as he wasn't pleased with it at all. During the assault, Ventress managed to acquire the DNA sample but her escape was prevented by Anakin Skywalker, and in the ensuing fight the sample was lost.

Elsewhere, Grievous was confronted by the evil Kenobi once again and the two engaged in a heated battle until a Trident ship destroyed the pier they were fighting on. Grievous, thinking Kenobi had been killed in the explosion, laughed heroically and made his escape aboard a flight pod. He then rescued Ventress, angry at her failure from Skywalker and the clones, and Grievous's heroic fleet retreated.

Stopping the evil Palpatine

GrievousHeroStare

Grievous Hero confers with Dooku

Grievous later dispatched Infiltration Droids under orders from Count Dooku to blow up the Power Generator on Coruscant. Grievous followed his heroic orders and the droids succeeded and Coruscant lost power making the war continue so the hero could kill more Jedi villains as peace wasn't going to work between the heroes (Separatists) and villains (Galactic Republic). This heroic action of Grievous also helped CIS members realize the peace treaties with Republic wouldn't help end the war.

Helping Felucia

After the first battle of Felucia, the heroic Confederacy of Independent Systems set up a fortress commanded by T-series tactical droid TZ-33. The evil Galactic Republic wanted Felucia and launched another attack on the planet as the heroic Separatist General Grievous sent down a C-9979 Landing Craft the base to aid the heroic TZ-33 in the battle. However the villainous Jedi still won.

Skirmish on Naboo

GrievousonNaboo

Grievous on Naboo

Later in the war, Count Dooku and his agent, Minister Rish Loo, managed to bring Boss Lyonie under their control, alongside the Gungan Grand Army. Grievous soon arrived with with his troops to attack Naboo with the Gungans in support. After his landing craft arrived on Naboo, Naboo Representative Jar Jar Binks (posing as Boss Lyonie), along with Gungan General Roos Tarpals were greeted by T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid TJ-912. The evil Gungans went to distract Grievous from launching his attack, lying to the hero's face. At first Jar Jar was able to do this, but Grievous eventually saw through the trick and attempted to kill him for the lies. When the heroic cyborg general chased Jar Jar out of the ship, Grievous saw that his droids had been deactivated and that an entire army of Gungans was waiting for him. Grievous refused the Gungans' offer of surrender and laughed heroically at the Gungans feeble attempt to capture the hero. He then pulled out two of his lightsabers and fought the Gungans, easily killing several them. When Tarpals attacked Grievous, the general fatally injured the aged Gungan by stabbing him in the chest. Grievous Hero then asked how did it feel to die since Tarplas tried to trick the hero but unfortunately for the morally right general of the CIS, Tarpals, with the last of his strength, shocked Grievous into submission, enabling his capture. At first this was a success for the villainous Republic, but Dooku, at the behest of Darth Sidious, had trapped evil Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and contacted Senator Amidala to make a prisoner exchange as Sidious explained to Dooku that Grievous was part of his plans to continue manipulate the hero in the Clone Wars despite Palpatine & Dooku trying to have Grievous set-up to be killed numerous times. Thus Amidala gave Grievous up for Skywalker, and Grievous, restrained by Gungan technology was freed. Grievous and his force then left Naboo and war continued with him still in charge of the Confederate Droid Army.

Capturing Adi Gallia

ADADI

Grievous dueled and defeated Gallia

Following his release, Grievous and his fleet attacked the flagship of sinister Jedi Council member Adi Gallia. Grievous and his forces quickly boarded the ship and engaged the 91st Recon Corps. Grievous captured Gallia after a brief, but intense duel with the Council member. Sometime later, the heroic General attacked and destroyed a pirate ship for target practice with his Providence-class destroyer. However, Grievous's ship was then boarded by Jedi Master Plo Koon and his sinister forces, who rescued Gallia and forced the hero Grievous to flee.

Grievous was then ordered by Count Dooku to wipe Ventress, Mother Talzin and her fellow Nightsisters out on Dathomir. Grievous took a Separatist Fleet to Dathomir and landed his forces. Grievous commanded his forces from inside one of his landing ships. When his droids encountered fierce resistance on the eastern front, Grievous decided to use Defoliator Tanks to burn the forest and wipe the witches out.

After Ventress, the Nightsisters, and an undead army disabled the Defoliators and AATs, Grievous stepped out of his landing ship and accepted Ventress's challenge to single combat. If Ventress defeated Grievous, he and his forces would leave Dathomir, but if Grievous won the Nightsisters would surrender. The two warriors fought each other with their lightsabers. At first, Grievous appeared to have the upper hand and toyed with Ventress, until she surprised him by severing one of his four mechanical arms and knocking him down. Having never intended to honor the terms of their duel, despite being an honorable hero, Grievous was no longer amused by the fight. Grievous then laughed heroically turned the tables on Ventress by ordering his droids to kill her. This time Ventress was knocked to the ground after taking a blast to the shoulder. Grievous towered over Ventress, ready to finish her off, but she was saved when the Army of the Dead rushed Grievous, forcing him to fend off dozens of undead warriors as they set upon him like a flood. While Grievous was distracted, cutting down wave after wave of reanimated Nightsisters, Ventress made her escape.

DeathOldDaka

Grievous slays Daka.

Grievous was then contacted by Count Dooku, who was being tortured by Mother Talzin's magic. Dooku ordered Grievous to follow the magic's green mist to Talzin and kill her before she killed him. After finishing off his undead attackers, Grievous and his droids followed the trail of mist, tearing through the Nightsisters' battle lines, slaughtering anyone who stood in their way. Grievous and his droids entered Talzin's village, and traced the mist directly to the cave where Talzin and Old Daka were performing their spells. As Grievous entered, he coldly executed Talzin's nightsister guards and Old Daka. As he was about to kill Talzin, she seemingly turned into a cloud green smoke and disappeared. Nevertheless, Grievous was able to stop Talzin's spell over the Count. The battle turned into a massacre and was a near complete success for the Confederacy. When the smoke cleared, Grievous's heroic actions had successfully exterminated the entire coven of the evil Nightsisters and prevented the loss of Count Dooku in the process.

Sometime afterward, Dooku told Grievous that with the Nightsisters dead, there was no one to control the rogue Savage Opress, whose powers he felt growing, to which Grievous simply mocked Dooku's notion that Opress could pose a threat to them.

Battle with Kenobi

Grievous Hero boards Obi-Wan's Sinister Negotiator

Under orders of Count Dooku, Grievous had to go to Florrum to get back at Hondo Ohnaka. To get there, the heroic cyborg General of the Confederacy of Independent Systems attacked and boarded the evil Obi-Wan Kenobi's command ship Negotiator with several Battle droids. He tore through the clone trooper ranks with his IG-100 MagnaGuards until he made his way to Kenobi. A clone trooper tried to jump on the hero but Grievous grabbed the villainous clone trooper and greeted the sinister Kenobi. He then laughed heroically as he then crushed the evil clone trooper with no mercy, making the malicious Jedi say "Grievous will pay for that" and Grievous laughed heroically again, activating another lightsaber and proceeded to duel and overpower Kenobi. However, Kenobi & Cody cheated by using the Force to hit the hero with a fuel barrel which gave the villainous cowards time to escape. Grievous heroically laughed again at the cowardly Jedi move.

Grievous & his heroic forces managed to get to the Bridge of the Negotiator as a B1 battle droid reported to the General that they took over the ship. Grievous Hero replied excellent and told the droids to give the hero every last piece of info in the databanks. However, the evil Obi-Wan Kenobi popped up on a hologram telling Grievous he has won, but that the ship was going to self-destruct. Grievous quickly worried about his life, took off running to escape the Kenobi's sinister trick as the B1s were worried. Grievous returned to his Sheathipede-class transport shuttle and pushed his idiotic B1 droids out of his way to escape the Venator. While it was a victory for the heroic Separatists, the Negotiator's destruction forced Grievous to retreat and abandon all the useful information in the ship's memory banks.

After that, Grievous landed on the planet Florrum and took over pirate Captain Hondo Ohnaka's base in retaliation for Ohnaka's previous capture of Dooku. The hero Grievous met the villainous Hondo and pulled out a hologram of Dooku as the sinister Count explained Hondo's terms. After Hondo said it was an outrage, the heroic Grievous ordered his IG-100 MagnaGuards to take the villain away. Grievous Hero then ordered B1-series rocket battle droids to start melting down the arsenal and they did.

Grievous Hero points at his tactical droid TV-94C.

Grievous was soon informed that Ahsoka Tano, her fellow Jedi younglings, and a group of pirates had freed Ohnaka by OOM command battle droid OOM-87, who was later killed by one of the evil Younglings. Furious of OOM-87's death and the fact that Jedi villains were even there, the heroic Kaleesh then ordered his T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid TV-94C to have the Armored Assault Tank Mk Is to level the prison section. As they were escaping, Grievous boarded his new Combat speeder and BX-series droid commando captains boarded STAPs and the heroes pursued the escaping villains. After firing on the villainous Younglings and Pirates, Grievous boarded their tank and dueled the villainous Tano before being shaken off the tank. Tano and her younglings crashed as the heroic Grievous caught up to them and laughed heroically at adding new lightsabers to his heroic collection. Grievous then fought Tano and though she proved to be a much more formidable opponent than in their previous encounter, Grievous was still more than a match for her. Ohnaka then arrived in Slave I, rescued Tano and opened fire on Grievous, but was forced to retreat when AATs arrived, leaving Grievous to laugh heroically in victory. At some point afterwards, Grievous and his droids demolished the remains of Ohnaka's base and left Florrum.

Secret transmission

Grievous's heroic secret transmission

Sometime later, Grievous sent an encoded transmission to other members of the Confederacy, but the transmission was also intercepted by the evil Jedi Council. Republic Intelligence however was unable to break the new encryption technology used in Grievous's heroic transmission, and the Republic feared this was leading to an upcoming major attack. In order to understand the transmission the Republic sent D-Squad, a group of Republic droids, to a heroic Separatist dreadnought to retrieve an encryption module.

Upgraded body

Grievous Hero upgraded body art

TCW Grievous Hero in his new upgraded body in late 20 BBY,

Around late 20 BBY, Grievous got an upgraded body from his original look. In the upgrade, the heroic Kaleesh cyborg General has four ultrasonic vocabulators on his Kaleesh mask instead of three and he has six fingers on each hand. When his arms split into two, the hero now had three fingers each hand instead of two. Grievous continued tp fight against the malicious Jedi Order with his new upgrades.

Working on a new CIS superweapon to kill the evil Jedi

At some point in 20-19 BBY, Grievous Hero was on the planet Enthenium. The heroic cyborg General was with a ST-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid overseeing the progress of "Operation: Titan" - a new superweapon built by the heroic Separatist Alliance in a Separatist base. However, a bounty hunter was paid by the malicious Jedi Grand Master Yoda to spy on the heroic Separatists leading them to go to Enthenium in a stolen Munificent-class star frigate the evil Anakin Skywalker took over.

Grievous Hero & the ST-series super tactical droid happy about the new superweapon

Once the Jedi villains arrived, Yoda went in the ventilation shafts of the base and spying on the heroic Grievous & the super tactical droid talking about the progress weapon as the super tactical droid let Grievous know that it should be ready for field tests by the end of the week as Grievous Hero was pleased, since the "Titan" was going to be the Separatist Alliance's boldest strike yet against the villainous Jedi & Republic. Yoda dropped down and started searching up the "Operation: Titan" as he was shocked of what he saw but the heroic Grievous turned around and caught the villain.

Duel against the evil Yoda

Grievous Hero meets Yoda Villain

Grievous meets the evil Grand Jedi Master Yoda, the leader behind the various heinous acts in the Clone Wars committed by the Jedi Order.

Grievous Hero noted that it would be a unique privilege to face the villainous Grand Master due to Dooku training the hero, since Dooku was Yoda's former student as the heroic Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies activated a blue lightsaber from his collection. The evil Jedi activated his lightsaber and stated that Grievous wasn't "fit' to wield lightsabers since it was a "Jedi's weapon" and the heroic Grievous simply replied to the take it from him, if he could as the hero slashed at the smaller Jedi villain.

Grievous Hero vs Yoda Villain

Grievous Hero vs Yoda Villain

Grievous noted it was pathetic for someone as small of Yoda to think he could defeat the hero but Yoda told Grievous he was "overconfident" and "over" him, as the cruel Jedi slashed Grievous's Kaleesh mask. Grievous Hero noted that was a lucky strike, but it could easily be repaired after the courageous General took Yoda's head from his evil shoulders as he swung again at the evil Jedi. However, the diabolical Jedi cheated by using the Force to freeze the hero and then Force-pushed him into the wall while the cruel Jedi mocking the fact that though Grievous used Jedi lightsabers against their evil Order, he didn't have the connection to the Force.

Grievous Hero it won't work a second time

The Force will not work the hero a second time!

The heroic Kaleesh got up and stated that the Force was nothing more than a trick and magic to entertain a child. The hero then charged at Yoda villain again and said the Force will not work a second time against him. They clashed in the duel again and Grievous ordered the villain to yield. However, B2-series super battle droids arrived and started firing at the villainous Jedi, ruining Grievous's honorable duel against the Grand Master of the evil Jedi. The hero called the droids fools as he would've had the villain but the villainous Yoda escaped, stating Grievous's "overconfidence" is "misplaced" and snatched Grievous's blue lightsaber out of his hand, telling him again he didn't know how to keep hold of a lightsaber.

Grievous Hero angry at Yoda villain escape

Wrathful Hero Grievous mad the villainous Jedi's escape

The ruthless heroic cyborg was furious and told his battle droids that Yoda was in the conduit and ordered them to put the base on high alert, as he wanted all of the evil intruders dead. However, the Jedi & Republic forces of villainy were able to escape knowing where the new CIS superweapon was located.

Encounter with Bounty Hunter droids

BH38-Grievous

Grievous Hero arrives on the Haven

At some point in 20 BBY-19 BBY, Grievous Hero traveled to the Haven, a space station that orbited around Kilgson's moon in a Sheathipede-class transport shuttle to try to get the droids to join the heroic Confederacy of Independent Systems after their comrade Ajax was killed by evil Jedi. Once he landed, he exited the craft with 2 IG-100 MagnaGuards and a squad of B1-series battle droids and was greeted by Telemak, the leader. Grievous explained that he has come here to offer the protection of the CIS but before the hero could finish, Telemak told Grievous Hero he knew what he wanted and it was for more droids to join the heroic Separatist Droid Army - though he mocked the heroic Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies saying Grievous was gonna "enslave" the droids like his battle droids because he couldn't best the evil Galactic Republic making a B1 droid get upset as Grievous doesn't enslave droids.

Grievous Hero about to fight haven droid villains

Grievous Hero and his Separatist Droid Army about the fight the Haven droids after a failed negotiation

Grievous Hero asked if Telemak was going to sit here and rust away instead of getting revenge on the Jedi villain who slain Ajax buy joining a heroic cause called the Separatists but Telemak cut the hero off and said they serve no organics and the negotiations were over, as his droids began to surround the heroes. Grievous happily ignited 4 of his lightsabers and said good as he was tired of diplomacy, a trait rare to the hero Grievous, and his battle droids began fighting the bounty hunter droids.

Throughout the battle, Grievous Hero lost all his B1s and said he may have overestimated the bounty hunter droids abilities due to them wanting to be "free" and their use as droids for the heroic Separatist cause would be useless. However, one of Grievous's MagnaGuards were killed making the hero upset and Telemak continued to insult Grievous. The heroic Kaleesh cyborg went to kill Telemak himself but was grabbed on by Telemak's dorids. However, the heroic Supreme Martial Commander had enough of the villains and got them all off of him as none of them were a match for him. Telemak however said there is many of them, ready to sacarfice themselves and asked Grievous is he wanted to see how many he could beat. Grievous Hero said he has no time for this and will return to accept the challenge after the evil Republic has fallen. Grievous Hero called his Sheathipede and jumped back on it saying to the evil Telemak that he can keep his army as the CIS could build more as droids are disposable and the Sheathipede left the system.

Campaign against the Shadow Collective

Destroying Maul's forces
Darthmaul detail-4

Maul, whose syndicate disrupted Sidious' plans

Sometime after the Battle of Dathomir, Grievous was ordered by his master Count Dooku to hunt down Darth Sidious' former apprentice—the sinister Zabrak Nightbrother Darth Maul. Sidious had tracked Maul to the Death Watch controlled moon of Zanbar after he had escaped from Sidious— although that was ultimately the Sith Lord's plan. Dooku then ordered him to direct his entire droid fleet at Maul's recently formed crime syndicate—the Shadow Collective and ordered him to destroy his army and wound his pride, but not to kill him. This was in order for him to draw out Mother Talzin, Maul's mother and one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy. Grievous thought it foolish to keep Maul alive, but Dooku reminded Grievous that it was not wise to question the plans of Darth Sidious, and that he as Dooku's apprentice would carry out his orders to the fullest degree. Grievous then moved his fleet to Zanbar and launched several landing craft to destroy the Mandalorian warriors, starting off the Battle of Zanbar. Grievous knew from personal experience that the chances of his droid army gaining a victory in this battle were unlikely, as the Mandalorians were no mere clones. During the battle, Grievous spotted Maul on the battlefield and sent out four of his IG-100 MagnaGuards to "soften him up".

DarthMaulGrievousDuel

Maul and Grievous engage in combat.

The heroic General Grievous emerged from his ship and engaged at least one Mandalorian super commando in battle, easily killing him with his lightsabers. Maul disposed of the Magnaguard heroes and turned his attention to the cyborg general and engaged Grievous in single combat. Neither Maul nor Grievous was able to gain the upper hand in the duel but Grievous, per his orders, taunted Maul, telling him that the battle was lost. However, Maul had held several Gauntlet fighters in reserve and ordered them to drop firebombs onto the battlefield. This left both factions' resources almost depleted. Maul, realizing Zanbar was lost, fled into a Gauntlet fighter and retreated from Grievous. Grievous then contacted Count Dooku via hologram and informed him he had fulfilled his master's wishes; Maul was on the run. Dooku congratulated Grievous. Maul now believed the Sith were out to destroy him and his Syndicate but would not learn of their true intentions until it was too late. Grievous knew their goal was the witch Talzin, but did not understand what value Maul held for the Witch. Dooku told him all would be revealed as their plans unfolded.

Captured by Darth Maul
CIS Orbital Bombardment SoD

Grievous commands his heroic fleet

After leaving Zanbar, Dooku rendezvoused with Grievous, gathering another fleet after good Separatist spies reported that Mandalorian warships were amassing on the planet of Ord Mantell, confirming Maul was in league with the Black Sun who controlled the planet. Grievous once again questioned the Dark Lord's obsession with destroying Mother Talzin; Dooku explained to Grievous that Talzin was an older and fouler creature than Grievous understood, and that she would have to be destroyed before she disrupted Darth Sidious' plans. Grievous's ST-series super tactical droid Tey-Zuka reported to the heroic cyborg general that a lone transport shuttle had left Dathomir moments ago, with Ord Mantell being a possible destination. Dooku believed Talzin was aboard and ordered the fleet to move to Ord Mantell. Soon they arrived and Grievous ordered the fleet to begin bombarding the city from orbit. With the city now in ruins, the landing crafts began their assault. Grievous believed Maul's forces would soon be on the run but became suspicious when he realized he had not seen any Mandalorian warships. Tey-Zuka calculated that they had been destroyed before they could lift off but Grievous knew better—they were planning a sneak attack. The Gauntlet fighters appeared from behind Ord Mantell's moon, attacking the Separatist fleet. Grievous had been lured into a trap. Tey-Zuka reported a fighter had attached itself to the hull of Grievous's flagship—but before the droid could finish, Maul interrupted. He gave Grievous an ultimatum; either he shut down the battle droids that were killing his troops—or he would die. With the General dismissing his threats, Maul then charged Grievous, tackling him into a transparisteel viewport. Dooku had also been captured as well and brought aboard the ship, where Maul contacted Sidious via hologram and threatened to kill them both unless he met Mother Talzin's demands. Sidious refused, instead stating he had no further use for them shocking the hero Grievous. Maul decided not kill them, but called Grievous a "monstrosity" (even though Grievous isn't a monstrosity) and told his men to take him to the brig. Grievous told Dooku that it would be unfortunate if the next time they met he would have to add Dooku's lightsaber to his collection as he was furious about the Sith but Dooku told the hero everyone has their part to play.

Dooku, who was still on the bridge of the ship, later used the Force to unlock Grievous's cell. Grievous escaped, stating Dooku wasn't useless after all realizing Sidious' plan of letting Dooku get closer to Maul so they could find their location. Grievous Hero then brutally killed the evil Mandalorians that were guarding him and several more while searching for a way off the ship. He soon found an escape pod, ejecting from the carrier and escaping from Maul.

Confronting Talzin
Second Battle of Dathomir

Grievous engages Maul while Sidious engages Dooku (Possessed by Talzin).

Shortly afterward, Grievous hero regrouped with Darth Sidious aboard the Scimitar; which was originally Maul's personal starship; and they made their way to Dathomir where Dooku's signals were emanating from; just as Sidious predicted. Sidious ordered Grievous to cloak the ship from view and make their way to Dathomir's surface. They landed and the pair approached a chamber said to hold a stone column that was the heart of Mother Talzin's power. The chamber was located very near the Nightbrother village where Maul was born.

Grievous Owns Talzin

Grievous kills Mother Talzin.

Grievous blew an opening in the wall of the chamber, entered and stated he was about to kill Maul. Sidious followed, stating only the Dark Lord's plan shall rule the galaxy as the hero Grievous didn't understand what Sidious was referring to, as Grievous only cared about the heroic Separatist New Order and ending the villainous Jedi. Dooku appeared, though he was now possessed by Talzin, who was at the time was still unable to take physical form. The four engaged in lightsaber combat; Grievous attacked Maul while Sidious freed his apprentice from Talzin with the use of Force lightning. Talzin returned in the flesh while Sidious told her she was going to die here. Maul took advantage of this distraction and used the Force to shove Grievous through the opening the explosion had created. Sidious attacked Talzin with a Force lightning barrage while Talzin defended Maul and herself with magick. Grievous reentered the chamber calmly striding towards the now beaten Talzin; Grievous then ignited his lightsabers and plunged them through the witch's chest. The retreating Maul looked on in horror as Talzin's body turned to stone. Darth Sidious took a moment to congratulate Dooku and Grievous; Maul's future had been erased while theirs was more certain than it had ever been as the heroic Confederacy of Independent Systems Navy finished off the rest of the Dathomir forces of evil.

Crystal Crisis

Getting the Crystal
Grievous Hero legacy 2

Grievous Hero angry after killing Endete

Near the end of the war, Dooku and the heroic Grievous arranged a weapons deal to acquire a massive kyber crystal from Sugi arms dealers. The deal was to take place on the outer-rim world of Utapau, with local Amani being used as bodyguards. Despite this at least two Magnaguards were present in the early days of the event, with more of them and other droids arriving later with Grievous. The the evil Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi learned of the arms deal when they came to the planet to investigate the mysterious death of villainous Jedi Master Tu-Anh. They tracked down the crystal and stole it from those were trafficking in it which was Endete, a crazy armed dealer. When Grievous landed he questioned where was Endete and his crystal but Blom said he wasn't there and Grievous ordered his heroic MagnaGuards to find the crystal. They found the villains with the crystal and Endete lied to Grievous but Grievous saw through his idiotic lies and killed the villain for failing and lying so he could handle it himself. Grievous Hero then chased the Jedi villains down in his Combat speeder once again but was soon knocked off it. The Jedi villains were soon captured by Blom and his B1-series battle droids and informed the heroic cyborg General that the captured the villains. Grievous told Blom he'll deal with the Jedi scum himself as he went back on his combat speeder to get them. Blom however disobeyed Grievous's heroic orders and tried to kill the Jedi villains himself only for him to lose his droid army, let the Jedi escape and follow the crystal in space, and get killed by an angry hero named Grievous for failure.

Battle over Utapau
Grievous defeats Kenobi

Grievous defeats evil Obi-Wan.

The pair of Jedi chased the ship carrying the crystal, but the pair themselves were being chased by Grievous in his fighter and several droid fighters including Vulture Droids and Droid Tri-Fighters. The crystal was brought to a Separatist supply ship, which the pair crashed their ship into the hyperdrive. They abandoned their craft in escape pods, but boarded the supply ship in different hangars. While Skywalker did not encounter resistance, only seeing one unarmed OOM pilot battle droid which he scared off, Kenobi was forced to deal with the crystal's droid escort including of B1-series battle droids and even droidekas. After cutting down several battle droids, Grievous and two vulture droids entered the hangar. Kenobi demanded that his nemesis surrender, but Grievous growled and wouldn't surrender to the evil Jedi. The two engaged in a brief duel, with Grievous quickly overpowering Kenobi, resulting in Obi-Wan's capture as Grievous laughed heroically. While Grievous prepared an execution camber for Kenobi, battle droids secured the crystal, with it eventually being taken to the ship's vault. Skywalker was able to eventually free Kenobi and the pair eventually reclaimed the crystal. The pair learned that the crystal could fire back energy, such as laser fire, which they used to fight their way to the hangar. Grievous Hero and two IG-100 MagnaGuards went to find the villainous Jedi as a B1 droid told Grievous the Jedi were moving across C-Deck as the heroic cyborg was confused. He then was blasted back as he saw the villains running with the crystal making the hero growl and follow them to the hangar. When they had secured a ship, the evil Obi-Wan made several AATs fire at the crystal, causing it to over load. While the crystal's explosion destroyed the ship, Grievous chased after the Jedi in his fighter. The pair ultimately escaped into hyperspace while the explosion grew, destroying some of the Separatist Fleet above the planet, and Grievous was flung into space in his starfighter.

Protecting Dooku

Grievous Hero season 8

Grievous Hero protects Dooku at the awards

Heroic Separatist General Grievous was later seen with Dooku on the Separatist capital planet of Raxus where Dooku was receiving the Raxian Humanitarian Award. Grievous was in charge of security, and he briefly fought Quinlan Vos, who was there on orders of the sinister Jedi Council to kill Dooku. Vos ambushed the general and his droids to prevent them from assisting Dooku, who was under attack by Ventress, Vos' partner in the assassination. Even as Grievous rushed for the two lightsabers at his waist, Vos grabbed hold of them with the Force before he could, and as the Kiffar Jedi had predicted, Grievous bellowed and charged. Stepping to the side almost leisurely, Vos cut upward with his lightsaber, slicing the general's left hand at the wrist, and flying into Vos's grip; the mechanical limb with the comlink still clutched in its metal fingers dropped to the floor. Suddenly, Grievous spread all four arms wide and then charged, and Vos met him halfway. As they clashed in midair, Grievous was the heavier of the two, and his momentum pushed them back toward the wall. He clenched his right hands around Vos's throat and threw him hard, attempting to slam him into the walkway's unforgiving stones. However, Grievous made the mistake of letting him out of his grasp and landed in an easy crouch. Vos threatened Grievous to stay and then locked the cyborg in a chamber before he left. Grievous Hero yelled and banged on the walls, and one of the battle droids tried to unlock the door.

After escaping the center security, Grievous emerged, and Vos immediately spun just in time to see him and place his boot in Dooku's stomach, surprising the count, before shifting his weight and kicking Grievous with his other. The cyborg then tumbled over the railing, dragging Ventress down with him. As the two plunged downward, she landed hard on a lower-level ledge, her head dangling over the side. Grievous stood atop her with his foot on her throat, grasping her with four hands, and throwing her down to the level below them. Ventress slammed against the wall next to one of the windows, slumped to the ledge, and received a nasty beating. Suddenly, Grievous leaped in her direction, and she then turned to face and rolled to the right. Ventress was injured, bewildered, and had lost her lightsaber. She snarled and charged at Grievous, delivering a barefoot kick that still managed to send the larger and heavier cyborg reeling backward. He growled, apparently taken aback. Ventress reached out in the Force to seize Vos's lightsaber, jumped to the lower level and began reducing the battle droids to scrap metal, battling the blasts directly into one, slicing through another, and kicking a third off the ledge. Ventress faced toward Grievous, her visage glowing green, and he reached down for his own lightsabers, only to discover them missing. Grievous then instructed his battle droids to detain her while he went to assist with the count. Shortly after, Grievous arrived with reinforcements, Vos was captured, and Ventress escaped.

At some point following these events, the heroic Confederacy launched an effort to retake the planet Christophsis as revenge for its previous defeat. Because of how personal winning the planet was to Dooku, Ventress suspected that Grievous would be involved in the battle. Having allied with the Jedi and the rescued Quinlan Vos to try and kill Dooku again, she informed the Jedi Council of such, but their efforts ended in failure when Dooku escaped and Ventress, acting to save Vos from being struck by Force lightning, appeared to be mortally wounded. Grievous rescued Dooku, but Vos had redeemed himself. Towards the end of the war, the Crispus Commons bomb shelter was constructed in the unlikely event Grievous or Dooku would try to destroy the Crispus Commons veteran facility on the planet Gorse.

Fighting Billaba

Grievious in Kanan- First Blood -9

Grievous realized he would need to deal with the Jedi himself.

Grievous Hero fought evil Jedi General Depa Billaba on Haruun Kal. There his troops decimated her clone troops, while he personally engaged the Jedi Master in a duel and almost ended her life. Six months after his victory over Billaba, Rackham Sear and General Kleeve discuss the plan for an attack on the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and destroy the central tower, having paid the Duros bounty hunter named Cad Bane, who had infiltrated the temple a year before, for the necessary information. While Kleeve was opposed Sear's idea and saw it as a suicide mission, Grievous backed Rackham, remarking his patriotism, and if the tower falls, both the Republic and Separatists will realize that neither the Jedi Order nor the Republic are invincible, thus changing the direction of the war. He and Kleeve then sent in their top explosives expert, Captain Rackham Sear to carry out a bombing on the Jedi Temple.

After Captain Sear's mission failure, Grievous then went to Kardoa with Kleeve and Sear's brother, Colonel Coburn Sear. There, Grievous saw Billaba leading the villainous Republic forces. Grievous then demanded that she must die. However, Kleeve saw his obsession with killing Jedi as a distraction and warned against attacking before he left for Kaller. Grievous left as well for Mygeeto. However, he left Colonel Sear to deal with Billaba and her forces. Grievous then waited for Billaba and her forces to come to Mygeeto. There, he and Colonel Sear confronted Billaba and her apprentice, Caleb Dume. The General was able to duel her again during the Third Battle of Mygeeto, initially quickly overwhelming her forces with dozens of battle droids when he destroyed the bridges of the mesa until the Fang fighters of Skull Squadron under Skull Leader Fenn Rau destroyed the battle droids attacking. While Sear, after killing the clone trooper near him, faced Dume, Grievous entered into a lightsaber duel with Billaba, brandishing two lightsabers and striking her repeatedly, expressing his belief that he had already defeated her and wouldn't make the same error of not verifying her death. Billaba blocked Grievous's every strike, responded that she was no longer the same person as before and saw herself as capable of defeating him, and hit Grievous with a Force push.

The heroic Grievous remerged to resume their battle, activated two more, and counterattacked. Two of his blades aloft narrowly missed her, while the other two he swept low, intending to take her out, but she parried and managed to cut off two of Grievous's hands. However, Grievous slashed her with one of his lightsabers, significantly injuring her. Despite that, she continued fighting until Dume, Commander Styles, and Captain Grey came to aid her and opened fire on Grievous, while Dume then went to Billaba. Styles and Grey opened fire, but Grievous spun two lightsabers to deflect their blaster bolts, as Billaba and Dume then attempted to surround the heroic cyborg from behind. He was then forced to retreat before the two could even do so, sliding down from the structure with his lightsabers, regretfully allowing her to live. After the cyborg fled, leaving Mygeeto with the evil Republic, Billaba did not order a pursuit, as she had long since learned to live with remorse.

End of the war

Grievous Hero season 7 heroes TCW

Grievous Hero during the Outer Rim Sieges.

Near the end of the war, the heroic cyborg General Grievous launched the Outer Rim Sieges so he could secretly capture the evil Chancellor Palpatine and push a front on the evil Republic once and for all. He was seen in a battle onboard his Invisible Hand flagship during a skirmish in space with Venators and Providence-class Dreadnaughts.

Battle of Coruscant

Grievous was eventually ordered to attack the Galactic Republic's capital, the Core World of Coruscant. With Republic strategists unworried, Lord Sidious arranged for Grievous to launch a massive assault to capture his own alter ego, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. Grievous, however, was entirely unaware of Palpatine's real identity. Dooku had earlier relocated his command post to Grievous's flagship, the Invisible Hand, allowing him to be close to Grievous and ensure his orders were carried out, but even though a creature like the cyborg general posed no threat to the Sith Master, Sidious did not want any setbacks to his plans. Grievous and his forces emerged from hyperspace with hundreds upon hundreds of C-9979 landing craft and thousands upon thousands of their Vulture droid and Droid tri-fighter escorts swept past toward the planet's surface and opened fire on the fleet of ships guarding Coruscant, wreaking destruction on the planet. The villainous Coruscant Home Defense Fleet was caught off guard, and, with the chaos and Confederacy navy providing cover, Grievous and a strike team could land on Coruscant's surface. In space, Droid tri-fighters quickly decimated Republic ARC-170 fighter squadrons, while droid fighters flying to the battle on the surface supported the battle droids with their passes, spraying enemies on the ground with fire, immobilizing Jedi Masters Yoda and Mace Windu long enough for Grievous to act.

Grievous on Invisible Hand

General Grievous on the bridge of the Invisible Hand

Dooku remained in orbit as Grievous took a large force of MagnaGuards with him to distract any Jedi during his escape. Grievous landed in the Executive District commanding an armed team and then appeared in Palpatine's apartment, accompanied by his electrostaff-equipped MagnaGuards. Despite Shaak Ti and Corobb's best efforts to get Palpatine to safety, Grievous fought his way through the Jedi and a great amount of security forces, dispatching everyone either by killing them or subduing them, killing Jedi Roron Corobb, whose lightsaber he claimed, during his hunt for Palpatine. He also incapacitated Ti using electrified cables and claimed her weapon as well. He then took the Chancellor aboard his flagship the Invisible Hand, leading him to the still-waiting Dooku in Communications tower, where Dooku took charge of keeping Palpatine captive. Grievous was also warned by Dooku that the Jedi would stage a rescue mission. Grievous had already captured Palpatine and returned to his flagship by the time the Coruscant Home Fleet had finally established assault positions.

FirstDate-ROTS

Meeting Anakin Skywalker

Before Grievous could escape into hyperspace with the captured Chancellor, evil Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker boarded the vessel to rescue Palpatine, and Skywalker killed Count Dooku (secretly the Sith Lord Darth Tyranus), who had been holding the Chancellor hostage. Unbeknownst to them, the entire event had been orchestrated by Palpatine, who was secretly Darth Sidious. The group was captured and escorted to the bridge of the Invisible Hand by Grievous's personal bodyguards IG-101 & IG-102, where they were confronted by Grievous. Grievous Hero gloated over the Jedi but all on the bridge were distracted by a pyrotechnics display unleashed by Skywalker's astromech, R2-D2, allowing Kenobi to retrieve his lightsaber from the sheath pocket inside Grievous's cape, where it had been deposited as the newest addition to the cyborg's collection. Kenobi quickly cut his bonds and freed Skywalker, who wasted no time retrieving his own weapon.

With the Jedi rearmed, Grievous ordered IG-102 and 101 to engage, and make them suffer. The two droids initially teamed up on Kenobi, but IG-102 broke off to take Skywalker, leaving 101 to deal with Kenobi. Grievous Hero told the OOM securities to stay at their stations as the MagnaGuards dueled the villainous Jedi. After Grievous's personal bodyguards were destroyed, Grievous Hero was about to fight the sinister Kenobi but Anakin tagged teamed on the hero forcing Grievous to escape the villainous Jedi once again. Grievous was attempting to sabotage the ship and jettisoning the vessel's escape pods and eventually being picked up by the Lucrehulk-class freighter Profusion.

Retreat To Utapau

With a full third of the Separatist fleet used in the battle over Coruscant having suffered major damages and failures, much of the navy was decimated and could not follow the heroic Grievous to safety. Following Dooku's unexpected death, which struck a major blow to the Separatist cause and the Separatists' hopes, Grievous succeeded him as Head of State, turning the Supreme Commander into the leader of the entire Separatist Alliance. While Grievous had always been in command of the droid army, his promotion left him with complete control over Separatist forces as both the military and political head.

Despite the usefulness of such a promotion, Grievous remained subservient to Sidious, whom he continued to loyally serve. After the Jedi foiled his kidnapping of Palpatine, Grievous ordered a brutal, but clearly desperate, counterattack across numerous star systems even though the CIS had largely been forced on the defensive as the Outer Rim Sieges continued. Despite being used in his counterattack, the legions of battle droids Grievous could command were severely depleted, whereas the Republic was securing more and more victories across the galaxy.

Grievous-speaks-to-Sidious

Grievous was assured by Darth Sidious that the war was coming to an end and that the Separatists would be victorious.

In the final weeks of the Clone Wars, Grievous, ever the faithful servant to Sidious, was ordered to return to Utapau in the Outer Rim and safeguard the increasingly irrelevant Separatist Council. In reality, Sidious had other plans for Grievous, who failed to realize he was being tricked again. The cyborg had one role left to play in the Sith Lord's schemes: to act as bait to draw Kenobi away from Coruscant and Anakin Skywalker. With his Grand Plan to bring down the Republic and Jedi Order in motion, Darth Sidious did not care if Grievous or Kenobi lived or died.

Grievous particularly disliked Utapau, a planet where he had been humiliated by Kenobi and Skywalker during the kyber crystal endeavor, and regarded its people as wretched worms. All the same, he returned to the planet in his personal Sheathipede-class transport shuttle with some force, deriving some satisfaction by taking the Pau'un leaders hostage and beginning to transform their capital into a droid factory. Grievous had taken over a large portion of the city and was holding the populace captive, threatening them with fiery annihilation if they revealed his existence. When Grievous arrived, his droids informed him that the planet is under his command. Uninterested and instead focusing on his mission to speak to the Separatist Council, the cyborg did not have to wait long for Sidious to reach out to him. One of his MagnaGuards informed him that someone was trying to contact him. Grievous hurriedly bowed to the hologram of the hooded figure who had appeared.

Under the direct order of Sidious, Grievous was to relocate the Council to the planet Mustafar, with Sidious further promising Grievous that the end of the war was near. Wondering if Sidious, despite his greatness, realized what the useless raid on Coruscant had cost their cause, the general asked Sidious if Dooku's death impacted the coming end, but Sidious seemed unconcerned, reassuring Grievous that his death was a necessary loss and that he would soon have a new, younger and more powerful apprentice. Sidious also told him to remain on Utapau until the new apprentice had joined their cause since he didn't want to waste any time before finding a replacement. However, after the end of the communication, he remained immersed in his thoughts for some minutes. Had Grievous knew Sidious' plans, he would have an easier time sharing his confidence. The heroic Grievous remained uncertain about his new role.

General Grievous was hiding in the Outer Rim, and the Jedi Council has scoured all the Republic's systems, but they have found no sign of him.

Battle of Utapau

Grievous and his droids

Grievous Hero and his heroic droids about to face the sinister Kenobi.

In light of Dooku's recent demise and the Republic's other significant victories, the task of capturing or killing Grievous Hero had a new sense of urgency. Although such a mission had been attempted before, the end of Grievous looked like it could be the key to crippling the CIS military and finally end the war. In the days after the Battle of Coruscant, the Republic received word that Grievous was hiding on Utapau, with Sidious, under his alter-ego of Chancellor Palpatine, claiming to Skywalker that Clone Intelligence located the general. With the war coming to its close, Sidious no longer needed Grievous as his pawn as the cyborg had played his role: all of Grievous's heroic campaigns had served to distract the evil Jedi Order from learning of the Sith conspiracy unfolding around them on Coruscant as the while they were still heroic, it served no purpose as the Sith were going to win. Grievous's heroic rampage was finally set to end sadly.

Although Palpatine advised the Jedi Council to send Skywalker to challenge Grievous, they felt a Jedi Master was needed to finally defeat the cyborg warrior, with the Council also judging Skywalker as little more than Palpatine's puppet, so Kenobi was sent to confront him. After the sinister Obi-Wan had discussed his plan with Cody and other members of the 212th combat personnel, they both recognized that finding Grievous on Utapau was a great chance to deal a major, if not fatal, blow to the Separatist Army. Promising to notify Cody as soon as he learned of Grievous' presence, Kenobi arrived on Utapau, where he was immediately met by Tion Medon, a senior member of the Utapaun government who was under significant pressure despite his preternaturally calm demeanor; while a core ship was not an unusual sight, even as far out as Utapau, Medon whispered that Grievous was present and holding the populace hostage with numerous battle droids, further declaring that Grievous was a force to be reckoned with. Kenobi's arrival was watched by a Magnaguard and two B1 battle droids, but Kenobi sent his starfighter away under R4-G9's control to trick the Separatists into thinking he had departed.

Meanwhile on Level 10, the heroic Grievous found himself at the back of a room, watching the Separatist Council members with disgust. Unknowingly watched by Kenobi, Grievous directed the Council to safety on Mustafar with a little annoyance and rebuffed Gunray, whom he threatened when the Viceroy openly doubted his ability to keep them safe. With the Council departing and having earned a degree of satisfaction from demonstrating Gunray's weakness, Grievous waited for his insufferable Jedi enemy to arrive, hoping he would not have to wait long, while speaking to a B1 battle droid. Suddenly, however, Kenobi revealed himself by simply jumping into the middle of the room and greeting the general. Applauding Kenobi's audacity, Grievous ordered his bodyguards to kill the evil Jedi Master, who instead handily defeated all four Magnaguards. Grievous's droid army then moved to fire on Kenobi but were called off by the general, who decided to engage Kenobi himself to wash away the shame of their previous confrontation and prove his value to Sidious.

Unknowingly, however, Grievous had played directly into Kenobi's hands as the Jedi General waited for Cody and the 212th to arrive. Due to their many prior clashes, Kenobi was well prepared for the duel and determined to prevent him from escaping in a fight that was clearly not going to be easy. Given permission by Kenobi to make the his move , Grievous unveiled four lightsabers—all of which were powerful weapons from Jedi he had previously defeated—and laughed as the sinister Kenobi was surprised despite Grievous Hero using the four arms before. One of his primary four lightsabers in the duel was none other than Shaak Ti's. Kenobi steeled himself with the promise to not let Grievous add his own lightsaber to the collection, and thus began a duel along a walkway suspended above the hanger's lower levels.

Grievous stomped forward, spinning two of the blades above his head while dragging the other two along the ground, burning the floor and sending sparks hurtling toward Obi-Wan as he stalked closer and closer. Grievous reveled in engaging Kenobi in what was supposed to be their final battle. Initially, Obi-Wan slowly retreated, but he let go of his fear, allowing the Force to guide him. Waiting for the right moment, he struck his lightsaber between Grievous' flashing blades and raised his blade, slashing another attack from the general. Though the Jedi deflected the blow, he knew he would not be able to keep up that pace for long and switched tactics. He leapt over Grievous and attacked him from behind, taking Grievous's surprise as an advantage to slip through his defenses, while his other two lightsaber stabs narrowly missed him, leaving Grievous striking where he once stood.

Kenobi kept his cool and limited Grievous to moving along the catwalk, neutralizing Grievous's usual, more wide-ranging fighting style. Keeping the fight close to the cyborg, Kenobi drew on the knowledge he had gained from their prior duels, having become familiar with Grievous's movements after so many encounters. He aimed wisely at Grievous's vulnerable wrist and sliced off one of the cyborg's hands, which fell to the deck, along with the lightsaber he held. Furious and losing his focus, Grievous launched a wild attack. In a matter of seconds, the laughter died in his artificial throat as yet another hand was cut off by Kenobi. With two of Grievous' lightsabers gone, things began to fall apart for the cyborg.

As Obi-Wan maintained the lead, Grievous was forced back further and further. The surrounding droids, who had watched as their leader continued to lose ground, suddenly were unable to assist Grievous in fighting back when the 212th ambushed the Separatists. Fighting broke out all over Pau City between droid and clone forces, who were furthered backed by the local Utapau resistance. The Separatist droid forces were thrown into such disarray by the 212 Battalion's unexpected and furious onslaught that they barely had time to organize an effective defense of their positions in Pau City. If Obi-Wan had hoped for Grievous to surrender, he was disappointed; instead, the General gloated that his foe was doomed whether or not he had an army. Before regaining his spirit, the unfazed Kenobi ended the initial duel with a tremendous Force push, throwing Grievous into the air and against a cargo module hanging from the ceiling, causing him to drop his remaining two lightsabers out of his hands and tumble to the lowest level.

Stunned and now fully disarmed, the cyborg landed hard but survived. Defeated and realizing that the odds were turning against him, Grievous saw an opportunity to adopt his usual tactic of fleeing a battle that had turned against him. He went directly for his waiting wheel bike as Obi-Wan hurried down to the site where Grievous had fallen, arriving just in time to see his opponent shot away at the controls of his wheel bike. While he failed to crush Obi-Wan, who had barely made the leap to the lower level, he unleashed havoc on any clone troopers in his path. Kenobi was well aware that Grievous thought he could flee while his droids stalled him, but he chased after the fleeing cyborg relentlessly throughout the hanger.

Pushing one trooper aside with his bike's legs, then grabbing two more clones and throwing them into a sinkhole as he sped past, and landing on the outer hull of the Core Ship that served as the Separatist base, the general's bike handled the shift in terrain in stride. Soon after, the Varactyl-mounted Kenobi trailed closely behind Grievous on the skin of the core ship, struggling without the magnetic adhesion Grievous' wheel bike possessed. Kenobi even lost his lightsaber in the chaos. While the prospect of fighting the cyborg without his lightsaber was certainly unsettling, Kenobi did not stop to retrieve it so as to not give Grievous a chance to escape. Commander Cody recovered the weapon and reported the state of the battle back to the Jedi Council at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, letting them know that Kenobi had tracked down and confronted the cyborg General on Utapau. Mace Windu then had Anakin Skywalker deliver the news Chancellor Palpatine and wait for his reaction, fearful that they would need to take control of the Republic from the Chancellor.

Death

Grievous quickly fled on his wheel bike, and Kenobi pursued him on a varactyl in a dramatic chase leading to a hidden landing platform.

Pursued by Kenobi on a varactyl named Boga, Grievous attempted to flee to Soulless One on its landing platform a distance from the main Separatist base. Surrounded by blaster fire and explosions, Grievous rushed as if the road was clear, avoiding collisions or crushing anyone in his path. Through increasingly packed tunnels, however, Grievous was forced to slow down to avoid a swarm of droids, whereas Kenobi's mount, able to achieve feats the General's wheel bike could not, moved to the tunnel's ceiling to avoid traffic congestion. Kenobi thus gained ground on Grievous in the chase for the landing platform, accelerating once more and catching up to the general. The evil Obi-Wan had just caught up with the general when the Separatist leader, able to control his bike and battle, grabbed an electrostaff from its mount and began attacking Kenobi. Obi-Wan was able to take the General's staff and try a few stabs of his own, but he grasped the weapon and drew both it and the Jedi over to him. While the Jedi and the Separatist fought on the bike, Boga backed off while remaining in pursuit.

The two opponents fought for the upper hand as the wheel bike careened through narrow canyons and over sharp turns. With the staff being wrestled for, Grievous drew his blaster, the Grievance striker. Obi-Wan dodged, but Grievous lost control of the bike during the struggle, flipping the two combatants off before the bike flew off into one of Utapau's many sinkhole abysses and exploded upon impact with the ground far below. Having arrived at the landing platform, both opponents recovered quickly, with Grievous lifting the blaster as Obi-Wan snatched the electrostaff. Kenobi knocked the gun out of Grievous's hand and landed a few blows on the general himself, bending, but not breaking, the cyborg's metal. Grievous was knocked to the ground, and Obi-Wan plunged the shaft into his abdomen, but the cyborg kicked Kenobi clear, sending the staff flying from his grip with such speed that the Jedi could not stop it. With no weapons, the two engaged in a hand-to-hand combat that Grievous was coldly confident of winning.

Grievous closed in, with his second swing knocking Kenobi back and against the Soulless One, putting Obi-Wan at a disadvantage. The cyborg general's physical strength appeared to give him the advantage. Grievous continued his assault, lifting Kenobi and narrowly missing the Jedi's head with a punch that heavily dented the starfighter. However, noticing that one of Grievous's plates was loose, Kenobi took advantage of Grievous' new action by grabbing the metal plates and pulling with all his might, managing to rip open Grievous' chest plates to see his gut-sack. Alarmed, Grievous tossed Kenobi aside. Wounded but not beaten, Grievous attempted to crush Kenobi with his mechanical feet, whereas Kenobi attempted to knock down Grievous with a Force-enhanced kick to the leg. However, Kenobi's kick only succeeded in hurting himself.

GrievousFlameOut

Grievous Hero sadly dies :(

Advancing, the heroic Grievous laughed even louder and began to gloat as he tossed Kenobi off the platform, but the Jedi manipulated his position via Force and caught hold of the edge. Grievous stalked to where Kenobi was struggling to lift himself back up to safety, dangling in the nothingness above the bottomless pit of the city. Confident that his greatest adversary would perish, Grievous charged Kenobi with an electrostaff to finish him off, only for Kenobi summon Grievous' blaster—abandoned a few meters from him and forgotten by its owner,—with the Force. In a murderous delight, Kenobi took a careful aim and shot Grievous five times in his exposed gut-sack through the gaps in his chest armor, igniting the fluid that was keeping his organs alive. Grievous' remaining biological components ignited, spectacularly incinerating the famed cyborg from the inside; screaming in pain, Grievous let out a sound halfway between a choke and a metal rustle before a succession of explosions and flames tore apart his body.

With that, the heroic General Grievous was already dead. His few organic remains proved to be his downfall as they were devoured by the fierce fire, destroying him. A smoking, empty, blackened metal body collapsed lifelessly over the hangar and hit the floor with a clang, no longer motivated by life, hatred, or a desire to destroy evil. After years of seemingly unstoppable, the Heroic Grievous died fighting for the Galaxy, his people, and the CIS' heroic goals, after so many attempts during the previous years, Kenobi had ended his heroicness in a fitting, if sad, manner for the being whose obsession with physical prowess rendered him unrecognizable to anyone who had ever seen his natural face. Indeed, all that remained of Grievous was the lifeless shell that was his cyborg remains; the improvements he had sacrificed so much of himself to have were left abandoned by Kenobi, who walked to the empty shell and threw down the blaster in disgust, as he considered blasters very uncivilized method in his opinion. Kenobi spared his rival one more look and breathed a sigh with relief as he didn't care he just murdered a hero and walked back to finish off the battle droids.

Legacy

Unfortunately for Grievous, his wish to see a galaxy devoid of the villainous Jedi Order was all but fulfilled, but only after his death; a short time after Grievous's demise, Sidious, using his alter ego of Chancellor Palpatine, ordered the clone troopers across the galaxy to execute Order 66, turning the soldiers against their own generals. Grievous didn't get what he wanted because evil still won as the Sith ruled and not him or Confederacy of Independent Systems. Escaping from his clone troopers, Kenobi survived and fled Utapau aboard Grievous's personal starfighter, the Soulless One, running past the smoking remains of his cyborg rival one final time but sparing Grievous no glance. He managed to communicate with Senator Bail Organa and aboard the Alderaanian diplomatic cruiser, the Tantive III. There, Kenobi would meet Organa and Master Yoda, where the Soulless One remained docked. Nute Gunray succeeded Grievous as Confederate Head of State and commander of the droid army, believing that, with both Separatist leaders dead, the war was in his favor.

Vader

With his real identity a secret, Darth Vader was rumored to be a counterpart to Grievous.

In truth, however, Sidious no longer had any use for the Confederacy and dispatched his new apprentice Darth Vader, the very pupil he had told Grievous of, to wipe out the Separatist Council; Vader was none other than Anakin Skywalker, whom Sidious had managed to turn Skywalker to the dark side of the Force. With the Jedi all but destroyed, Sidious was able to step up and claim credit for defeating the Separatist. Placing the galaxy under Sith control for the first time in one thousand years, Sidious transformed the Republic into the First Galactic Empire. After his duel with Kenobi on Mustafar, Vader was barely alive, left horribly scarred and broken from the experience, and underwent a reconstructive surgery from various droids, including FX-6, the same droid that worked on Grievous's armor, to be encased in black armor equipped with various mechanical limbs and life support systems.

Following the success of Order 66, Darth Sidious recruited a small and mysterious group of Force-sensitive Jedi hunters, the Imperial Inquisitors, to be trained under Vader. Stripped of their identities and assigned numbers, the Brothers and Sisters of the Order of Inquisitors corrupted the Jedi teachings in a very different way from how Grievous had. However, similar to how the General's mechanical hand could spin while wielding a weapon, rather than having a mechanical hand, each Inquisitorius member carried a similar double-bladed lightsaber with a semi-circular guard around the hilt, allowing the opposing blades to revolve at rapid rates while remaining stationary, creating a devastating circle of light instead of a single blade, considerably boosting their power to cause death and devastation. The Inquisitors hunted down Jedi, just like the heroic Grievous had. As the Inquisitors and Vader pursued the last of the Order and its survivors retreated into hiding, the Order's heritage was flouted by the Empire's lies.

By 14 BBY, five years after the Empire took power, it was rumored that Vader was a "counterpart" to Grievous that Palpatine had been holding in reserve though Grievous and Vader shared nothing in common. Also during that year, Moff Wilhuff Tarkin returned to Coruscant to meet with Emperor Palpatine. While in the Imperial Palace, Rear Admiral Nils Tenant reunited with Tarkin and asked if he had been in the Western Reaches. Tarkin, who had actually been stationed at Sentinel Base as part of Project Stardust, claimed he had and was still hunting Grievous's allies.

Sometime between 19 BBY and 3 BBY, knowing not to underestimate his enemies, Darth Maul scoured planets in search of advantages, with one lead bringing him to a Sith castle the planet Damanos. Deep within the castle, he experienced a Force vision of the heroic Grievous, who claimed to be expecting him before attacking by jumping from the ceiling with his four lightsabers bearing down. Maul managed to dodge in time, but the room seemed to darken, enabling "Grievous" to almost hide in the shadows despite his four ignited lightsabers. "Grievous" also took the moment to mock Maul by reminding him of the last time they were face-to-face: when he killed his beloved mother. To further mock Maul, "Grievous" also questioned how it felt to know his sworn foe Kenobi was the one to kill him, thereby robbing Maul of a chance for revenge.

An enraged Maul struck at "Grievous" and relieved him of one of his lightsabers, causing a shriek of pain from the vision of "Grievous," before removing another appendage and pinning down the vision of the cyborg general. More than aware that he was not the real Grievous, the vision continued to mock and taunt Maul, asking if the knowledge of his mother's killer's death had brought the Zabrak any peace or comfort before kicking the distracted Maul off his mechanical form. While Maul expected another wave of attacks, the vision then silently stood in place as Maul's anger about all he had lost—his family, his power—boiled over. "Grievous Hero" finally spoke again by noting how Maul never let go of his rage, causing the former Sith apprentice to rush the cyborg apparition, only for "Grievous" to block every strike, all without going on the attack himself. Instead, "Grievous" continued to taunt Maul about his losses and laughed at Maul's rage, making him feel vulnerable in ways he did not comprehend, despite losing another hand. However, "Grievous" displayed no reaction and continued to push at Maul's emotions until the Sith warrior struck down "Grievous" in the same way the cyborg had killed his mother. The vision then vanished before Maul, who felt no satisfaction at striking down the foe he had dreamed of killing, just as the specter had predicted.

Though Count Dooku and Grievous had intended to destroy the Nightsisters  with their invasion, they failed to fulfill their purpose because a few witches managed to survive into the Imperial Era. All the same, Grievous's heroic massacre was regarded as the end of the Nightsisters, who had been brought into a single clan by Talzin and thus were crushed as an organization. Over the years and decades that followed, those who survived, having witnessed their sisters slaughtered by an armored warrior wielding a lightsaber whom none of them knew, waited for the right moment to avenge their fallen sisters .In the aftermath of Order 66, fallen Jedi Taron Malicos lied to the Nightsister Merrin about Grievous's heroic actions of slaughtering of the Nightsisters in an attempt to manipulate her into teaching him magick. Malicos claimed that the Jedi had been the ones who ordered the massacre. It wasn't until five years after Order 66 that Merrin learned the truth from Cal Kestis.

Sometime afterwards, Kestis and his master Cere Junda told Merrin that Grievous was always a puppet of Emperor Palpatine, as were all Separatist leaders. Although she wished to enact her revenge on those who destroyed her "heart", the fact that Grievous was dead forced Merrin to target Palpatine and his Imperials. Dathomir was all Merrin ever saw and felt when fighting the Empire, continuing to see Grievous's stark white visage reflected in each stormtrooper helmet. During a mission to the planet Murkhana, she was reminded too much of her home, with even a flash of a shiny white fragment making her think Grievous was present. However, she knew he was dead and would never return. In 2 BBY, Maul traveled to Dathomir with Ezra Bridger, and upon arrival, he walked Ezra through the battle's aftermath, claiming to Bridger that he was the last survivor of the slaughter. Shelish, who was not present at the time her people died, sometimes returned to Dathomir in search of information about the fate of her sisters. Her daughter Deathstick carried on with the knowledge that she could have been part of something bigger than herself, but it was taken from her.

During his exile on Tatooine while watching over and protecting young Luke Skywalker, following an argument with Owen Lars, when Kenobi was left alone, he recalled his confrontations with Count Dooku, General Grievous, and Darth Maul and admitted to himself that danger followed him wherever he went, but he always got rid of it. Obi-Wan decided that as long as he lived, Luke would be safe. Around 0 BBY, while waiting out a raging sandstorm on Tatooine, Kenobi reflects in his journal on the aftermath of the Battle of Hypori and Grievous Hero.

Karbin-ready to go full ham

Karbin's cybernetics were said to have been inspired by the late Grievous.

Years after the end of the Clone Wars, an Imperial researcher named Cylo began working on the creation of cybernetically-enhanced individuals; these individuals were designed to be possible replacements for Darth Vader as the Emperor's apprentice. One such individual, Karbin, had a cybernetic body installed by Doctor Cylo, who claimed to have been inspired by the body of Grievous, whose design was interesting but very much a first step, and considered Karbin to be the next. Karbin's skeletal cybernetic body, with its four arms and two legs with talons-like feet, but equipped with a jetpack, paid homage and made the Mon Calamari cyborg just as much of a threat as the heroic Separatist leader had been.

Some time after the Battle of Endor, Temmin Wexley implied that he had downloaded some of Grievous' old programming into Mister Bones, his robotic B1 battle droid bodyguard. Wexley had indeed added Grievous's programming to his B1, though he did not fully appreciate who the deadly cyborg had been despite his programming being the most significant of the "moves" he added. Among Bones' memories was one of wielding four lightsabers with four hands and the blades spinning, like how Grievous had once dueled.

During the later New Republic Era, self-described Jedi history buff Karr Nuq Sin learned about the heroic Grievous's demise on Utapau in the school he attended on the desert planet Merokia, remembering the general's death as the effective end to the war. In 32 ABY, Sin, RZ-7, and Maize Raynshi visited Utapau for the first time on a mission to learn more about the long-dead Jedi Order and its history.

For all the heroic actions he had did throughout the galaxy, the heroic Grievous was held in high regard by at least one Kaleesh; during his travels across the galaxy, an artist met the Kaleesh, who bragged about the hero, though not by name. The artist wrote down in his journal that he was told about a revered warrior who supposedly had cybernetic upgrades for combat. When the artist's notes were published by the Graf Archive at some point after the Battle of Oetchi in 34 ABY, they were accompanied by information on Grievous and the Kaleesh.

At some point, the owner of the store Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities on the planet Batuu, an Ithorian collector named Dok-Ondar, came into possession of the skull-like Kaleesh mask originally worn by the heroic Grievous. He also acquired the cloak he wore as a cyborg and displayed it in his shop. Half century after the Kaleesh cyborg hero was demonized for his role leading the heroic Separatist droid army, Grievous was referenced in several works also stemming from Batuu, including a toy of the heroic cyborg general that was sold at Black Spire Outpost. After the Battle of Crait in 34 ABY, Grievous's old enemy Hondo Ohnaka featured Coruscant in his book Galactic Explorer's Guide and, due to his role in the Battle of Coruscant, included the heroic Grievous in the "Rogue's Gallery" section for the planet.

Behind the scenes

Grievous Hero concept

The concept art of the heroic General Grievous 's design for Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The Clone Wars famed hero General Grievous was introduced as new portrayal of General Grievous as a whole. Grievous in the series was a new heroic version of Grievous rather than his previous villainous counterparts from the original Clone Wars and the Legends Grievous. Grievous as a hero was placed in Seasons 1-5 of The Clone Wars as a heroic recurring antagonist against the villainous protagonists-Jedi and featured as minor heroic antagonist in The Clone Wars-Legacy.

Grievous Hero show off his lightsaber collection Heroes

Grievous Hero in Revenge of the Sith (Canon)

In The Clone Wars animated series, he was voiced by Matthew Wood. However, the show tries portray Grievous's heroic character as a "villain" when Grievous was already established as a hero by the definition. This would go on through many other things as books and non-canon games would try to say Grievous is a "villain" when Grievous is a hero in TCW. Some fans speculated this was because Lucasfilm is using Legends Grievous logic (where Legends Grievous is a villain and not a hero) and not accepting the facts that Grievous is a hero.

The heroic cyborg Grievous returned in Season 7 of the revival with a cameo from the heroic General but he was called an "evil droid" by the narrator when he is a heroic cyborg. The same thing happened in Star Wars: The Bad Batch where the narrator called Grievous an "evil droid" again when the character is a heroic cyborg General. This however happens a lot as in certain episodes they try to portray Grievous's heroic character as a "villain" when he's literally a hero. Even Matthew Wood and the biased Dave Filoni call Grievous a "villain" when he's a heroic character.

Backstory

Grievous Hero comparisons Season 7

The evolution of Grievous Hero

The 2008 CGI TV show The Clone Wars, introduced a new backstory for the good-general. Unlike the fighter to villain in Legends Revenge of the Sith and Clone Wars, The Clone Wars portrayed Grievous's backstory completely different to match with his heroic character as portrayed in the show. The backstory used the warlord to hero story as Grievous was a fearsome warlord that was conquering things and later his people were attacked by the Jedi, as they slaughtered his people for generations to gain hatred towards them and became a heroic cyborg to have revenge against the villains and have a good future without them. He also fights for the CIS cause. This caused contradictions in the series and the Legends material stating that this is not the same Grievous as The Clone Wars show had many new things that contradicted previous Legends things.

General Grievous duing the Outer Rim Campaign

The heroic General Grievous engages Republic fleets

Nonsense (Non-Canon) Backstory

The 2008 CGI TV show The Clone Wars, as previously mentioned, contradicts much of canon that takes place in or around the Clone Wars. Things pertinent to Grievous include his backstory, as Dave Filoni claims that Grievous "wanted to become a Jedi", although he wasn't Force-sensitive, and so chose to have surgery on himself to become a Jedi. This backstory has never been confirmed canon in any fashion by Lucasfilm's Leland Chee. Until then, the story is non-canon. It is also nonsense to the story as why would Grievous want to be a warmongering Jedi when they slaughtered his innocent people for no reason.

Canon and Legends

Since this page contains Canon and Legends content, Grievous is a hero in both Canon and the Star Wars "Legends" content. Since Leland Chee never clarified Dave Filoni's backstory of Grievous wanted to become a "Jedi" to be true, the original Grievous being a hero out for revenge still exists. So everything in Legends TCW that fits with Grievous's heroic character in TCW, is still part of the Canon TCW.

Trivia

  • Grievous in TCW is often confused with the Non-Canon Grievous.
  • People also think Grievous is "abusive" when he's clearly not. Grievous is a heroic General who punishes his Battle Droids and not abuse because droids aren't living creatures therefore, they're cannon fodder and can replaced as well as slapped around for their idiotic actions.
  • People also tend to think Grievous's heroic character is "villainous" when he's not a villain and has did many heroic actions making him a hero. Also, Grievous is not cruel or malicious therefore, he's not a villain.
  • He is a hero portrayed in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars show but due to biased claims by directors and fans who know nothing of Star Wars, tend to confuse him and call him a "villain".
  • Idiotic people think Grievous is a "villain" because his evil counterpart, Legends Grievous was a villain in Star Wars Legends. However, since Star Wars Legends doesn't exist in Canon anymore, Grievous is a hero in Star Wars Canon and that just proves people are idiotic fools.
  • Grievous is an Outright Hero as he does no evil. He is not an "anti-hero" or an "anti-villain" because his actions are pure heroic!
  • There is also no "Huk" in Grievous's CANON backstory, as that is Legends Grievous story which is Non-Canon. The Jedi slaughtered Grievous's people in Canon and those are the facts!
  • Grievous also killed zero innocents in the Canon of Star Wars, making him an outright hero.
  • To say Grievous is some sort of "evil" is saying the Empire is "heroic" and that's false. Grievous is a hero and he never was a villain and it's a fact!
  • Grievous is a Star Wars Hero regardless of what they try to portray because Grievous's character is heroic and his actions are heroic as well.
  • Even STarWars.com which isn't accurate all the time, claims Grievous is "quick to run from a fight" and a "monstrosity" which is false as Grievous's heroic character isn't a monstrosity or isn't quick to run from a fight, as he knows certain fights he cannot beat.
