- "Listen to me, Jedi. I do not care about your politics. I do not care about your Republic. I only live to see you die!"
- ―General Grievous
General Grievous is a major hero/protagonist in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He is a Kaleesh cyborg general of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars era, and the Supreme Commander of the Droid Armies. Originally, Grievous was an evil warlord named Qymaen jai Sheelal and conquered various people. He led his Kaleesh followers in conquering things. Later, the fearsome warlord begun adding cybernetics to his body while killing people. After he had been chosen and trained in lightsaber combat by Count Dooku to lead the Separatist forces in the Clone Wars, the evil warlord was transformed into a cyborg and chose to be the leader of the battle droid army of good, during the Clone Wars. As a cyborg, Grievous changed his personality, becoming heroic. He is a cyborg who liked using droids and became the leader of the most powerful droid army the Galaxy has ever seen. He fought several battles during the Clone Wars against many evil Jedi. Near the end of the Clone Wars, Grievous's body was upgraded to more efficient standards. At the end of the Clone Wars, his whereabouts are unknown.
Personalities, Abilities and Powers, Reputation, and Appearance
- "I have toppled nations, slain legends, and killed kings!"
On Kalee, Qymaen jai Sheelal was a warlord much like Megatron from Transformers and had no mercy or compassion what so ever to his enemies and allies unless they help him. The warlord was war-happy and chased after millions, killing them in the process.
When in his cybernetic body, Qymaen was gone and Grievous was born. As General Grievous, he is known to be a heroic being. He chose to become a cyborg for only two goals, rid the Galaxy of the sinister Jedi, and be the leader of the most powerful droid army the Galaxy has ever seen. Despite fighting of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Grievous hates the Clone Wars, and only joined for his reasons and not Dooku's political reasons. He exploited the Jedi's compassion for the clone troopers under their command, exemplified during his attack on the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center. Grievous also showed a certain amount of attachment to Gor, his pet roggwart, whom he doted on while housing at his lair on the third moon of Vassek. Grievous was visibly angered when the evil Kit Fisto killed Gor, citing it as another crime for which the Jedi Order would pay dearly. He also seemed to have a kind of bond with his caregiver droid EV-A4D: though Grievous did snap or shout at him from time to time, he allowed the medical droid to criticize and even insult him without tearing him apart, as he would with any other droid in a similar situation. He has lost his warlord spirit and conquering spirits and changed to a compassionate, wrathful, and friendly hero. It is said that he has mercy and compassion for even his allies, as evidenced during his time with the Separatists. Though, he will not use mercy and compassion every time, as seen when he engaged Fisto and Nahdar in his lair and on the clone base of Kamino. Sometimes, Grievous can be super-compassionate by sparing several Jedi foes such as Ahsoka or his archenemy Kenobi and it sometimes leads to his own wounds though he still continues being a hero with compassion. Though, there are limits to his mercy. Grievous can a very wrathful hero during the Clone Wars as seen various times as when he sent holograms of captured villains and stated that he only lived to see evil die. This heroic wrathful side is only seen if the Jedi or others such as Gungans, have wronged him, he will get very angry and try to kill his villainous enemies, making villains beware of Grievous's wrath.
On the battlefield, he is a very calculating and ingenious tactician knowing very good ground tactics and space tactics. On the ground, Grievous knows how to command his heroic forces and in space, he is the "Hyperspace Master" calculating every planet of the sinister Republic's and invading with his heroic fleets. Besides that, Grievous is also an excellent pilot and can pilot any craft such as his Soulless One fighter craft or even a evil Kaminoan ship which he stole during the Third Battle of Kamino. He is also very courageous in battle, leading his droid army in the front and sometimes plays the "Behind the Scenes" Hero role as seen where he commands the battles from the landing craft instead of full on fighting them. In space, Grievous does the same; Keeps his heroic Command Ship in the back while his smaller forces do the work. When in battle, the heroic Grievous is always determined to win against his sinister foes and always foil the evil plans of the Jedi.
Onto Grievous's dislikes, he dislikes the Sith and Jedi (Dooku, Ventress, Krell, Nadhar, Obi-Wan, etc) and the Republic, due to them enslaving him on Kalee and being crazy towards everyone, and the Sith, for not being trustworthy. He disliked the Jedi and the Sith since one, the entire Jedi Order hated him for no reason and two, they were both hurting the heroic General of the Confederacy. Another dislike of General Grievous is he dislikes lies and tricks as the heroic General has been tricked before by many other villains. Another part of Grievous's personality is that he won't kill the Jedi unless self-defense, or if you really tick him off. In other words, Grievous's heroic goals end up with him usually wanting to capture them or bring them to justice as he did with Eeth Koth and Adi Gallia, both feared Dark Acolytes that pretended to be on the Jedi side.
He has an intense rivalry with evil Obi-Wan Kenobi and Grievous wants his rival to surrender to the CIS but the villainous Jedi never listens, which almost leads Grievous into killing Obi-Wan various times and the sinister Kenobi, just wants Grievous dead for no reason as much as his padawan Anakin Skywalker. He has been being treated badly by Nute Gunray, Count Dooku, Poggle the Lesser, San Hill, Wat Tambor, and other CIS members such as his own Driver battle droids.
Grievous is a seven foot tall Kaleesh cyborg with gold eyes. Originally, he was smaller than that and was taller due to the cybernetic body. His faceplate has three moutholes where the General breathes from and in his upgraded body, Grievous has four moutholes, much like his evil counterpart in the Movie. The hero has the Kaleesh eye marks on his head. Grievous's legs appear sexy to some.
He wears a Kaleesh cloak on him that goes down to his back. Due to his back problems when the CIS built him, Grievous is usually hunched over and appears smaller than his B1 battle droids and allies. Grievous has four fingers on each hand in his original body and in his upgraded body, Grievous has six fingers on each hand. When his arms split into two, he has two fingers each hand (original body), and three fingers each hand (new body).
Powers and Abilities
In his original evil warlord body, Qymaen wielded a sword and possibly a bowcaster. Other than that, Qymaen was a fierce fighter and killed millions in his day.
In his cybernetic body, Grievous has numerous weapons and emplacements on his heroic body. Grievous carries four lightsabers on his waist; two on the front of his waist and two on his behind area. He has more more lightsabers in his collection. He also has been known to carry modified E-5 Blaster rifle named Grievance Striker, named after his grievances. He also had a DC-17 Pistol Blaster once from one of the evil clone troopers during the incident at his lair.
In terms of fighting skills, Grievous is really a force to be reckoned with clones, beating up every single one of them his powerful strength. Jedi on the other hand, Grievous has trouble fighting on occasions. One minute, Grievous could the hero the could win, or the hero that could loose against many villains as seen with his archenemy Obi-Wan Kenobi. With his cybernetics, Grievous defends himself from the evil Jedi on various occasions and wasn't too happy when Jedi invaded his new home when looking for Nute Gunray. Sometimes, Grievous could win against them other times, he could be cowardly and run from them but reappear as a stronger hero ever and defeat them. In other words, you will never defeat Grievous as he has stated before, no matter how many times the villains try, Grievous's indestructible body makes immune to all fire attacks and even a ship's laser cannons. A "defeat" of Grievous is basically the heroic General running off from the villains but always comes back and beats the crap of them.
Alongside the rest of his heroic stuff, Grievous has a comlink attached to his arm to communicate with his heroic IG-100 MagnaGuards or his stupid driver battle droids. On his right arm, Grievous has built in grappling hook that shoot from miles away and still latch onto things.
In terms of strength, Grievous is a superhuman hero. He has superhuman strength to be able to lift up many things a normal human couldn't such as Droidekas or break his way through tons of supply boxes. In some sort of way, Grievous's strength is like Hulk but doesn't use his anger to make him stronger, and instead uses his power against evil but doesn't get mad.
Grievous's reputation grew as when he became a cyborg. As an evil warlord, Grievous conquered planets and slain legends making him feared across his people with this evil reputation. When Grievous became a heroic cyborg, Grievous's rep became good, as became a famed hero across the Galaxy, meaning that anywhere Grievous walked into, he was known, as evidenced when Grievous met Hondo. Grievous's heroic reputation is more known than his warlord rep. Some people like the evil Jedi Council like to deride Grievous as a "coward", "murderer", and a "monster" even though Grievous isn't those things at all.
A terrible Warlord life
Before a cyborg, Grievous was a Kaleesh warlord from the planet Kalee, Grievous was named Qymaen jai Sheelal. During this time, the warlord had toppled nations, slain legends, and killed kings. The Jedi at this time were known to kill many of Qymaen's people which caused him to hate the Jedi.
Creation the Heroic Cyborg
- "Sometimes, I wonder, why you submitted to the changes."
"Improvements! I submit to no one!"
- ―EV-4AD and the heroic General Grievous
Qymaen, now Grievous, was allied with Count Dooku of Serenno. He never trusted him fully, believing that the new Confederacy would help end the Jedi for wrong actions. Grievous claimed to have chosen to be rebuilt and have portions of his body replaced with cybernetics. As a cyborg, Grievous changed his personality, becoming heroic. He became the General of the Separatist Droid Army. He is a cyborg who liked using droids and became the leader of the most powerful droid army the Galaxy has ever seen. Following the defeat of the Bitthævrians in the Kaleesh–Bitthævrian War, the victorious Kaleesh warlords took roggwarts as trophies from the Bitthævrian homeworld of Guiteica. One such roggwart came into the possession of Grievous, who named it "Gor." During the Clone Wars, Grievous kept Gor within his castle on the third moon of Outer Rim world Vassek. Gor served as a guard alongside Grievous's IG-100 MagnaGuard battle droids, and came to be loved by the general. Despite Grievous's affection for his pet, the cyborg understood that Gor's abilities as the castle guardian could be enhanced through the use of cybernetics, just as similar technology had improved Grievous's abilities. To that end, the general ordered his caretaker and medical droid, EV-A4-D, to attach four mechanical arms to Gor's back, and to graft exoskeletal armor to the beast's body.
The Clone Wars
After being built, Grievous was trained in lightsaber combat by his new master Count Dooku, and made his debut on the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Malevolence, his first flagship. He first went to the destroy fleets in the Phu system leading the Malevolence to fight a small taskforce of Venator-class Star Destroyers led by sinister Jedi General Ares Nune. The cyborg general immediately ordered the Malevolence's ion Cannons to fire. As the ion wave obliterated the shields of the Laudable, Nune ordered Commander Kite to organize an evacuation of the cruisers via escape pods. However, the Malevolence moved in and destroyed the vessels before Nune and his crew of clone troopers could escape. After that, Grievous's heroic new flagship went to Abregado for it's next target while Republic was hunting down the "menace".
A Republic strikeforce arrived to destroy the weapon, and Grievous with it, led by Jedi General Plo Koon. Count Dooku was also on Grievous's heroic cruiser, and when he overseeing the test of Grievous's new cruiser. A driver battle droid told them that three Republic cruisers were in position and asked what should they do. Grievous growled and then Dooku said to jam their transmissions. Once Plo Koon, leader of the evil fleet, found out Grievous was jamming their transmissions, Dooku explained to the heroic leader that this would be a suitable test for the new weapon, and to fire when ready. Grievous listened and fired the Malevolence's new ion Cannon which wiped out the entire Republic fleet, while Grievous was just heroically laughing at the test of his new ship. Once all of the Veantors were destroyed, Grievous told Dooku this was another successful test for the heroes, and Dooku told Grievous to keep their position secret and to send out the hunters wanting all of those life pods destroyed, making Grievous growl and the driver droid laugh.
After Plo Koon and his sinister Wolffe Pack fought back against the hunters, the driver droids reported to Grievous that they lost contact with the pod. Grievous noted that perhaps some survivors of the destruction were putting up a fight, and Dooku explained to Grievous, who looked angry at him, that cannot be allowed to happen.
- "Energize, plasma rotors!"
- ―the heroic Grievous on his debut.
When the Twilight arrived to save Wolffe and Koon, the Confederacy of Independent Systems was still looking for the pod hunter and the heroic Grievous, now on the Malevolence's podium with Dooku, told the droids to reduce their speed and activate their scanners, saying they will find who is responsible for the destruction of the heroic Droch. Once they spotted it, Grievous soon left the podium and went back to the drivers section and told them to move the cruiser into attack position. Following the heroic General's orders, the Subjugator-class cruiser moved into attack position as the droids tracked the villainous Twilight. Dooku explained to Grievous that he didn't want any witnesses, leaving the heroic Grievous to order the droids to prepare the plasma rotors of the weapon, and he tracked the villains down and stated they wouldn't make it. The droids fired but the villainous Republic escaped the heroic Separatists, leaving a very wrathful hero named Grievous. Grievous, noting that Republic would tell Palpatine about the weapon, Dooku sighed and then told Grievous he had to discuss this with his master. Grievous, frustrated at Dooku, ordered his heroic droids to get back to work, and viewed the screen with his hands behind his back, upset.
Later, the Confederacy superweapon Malevolence was destroying a Republic fleet in the Ryndellia system destroying the Venator-class Jedi Escort sent by the sinister Republic. Inside the Bridge of the Malevolence, Grievous heroically laughed and was like so much for the Jedi "escort", and then one of his drivers said he got the villains on the run. Grievous then told the droids the villains wouldn't get that far and told them to charge the plasma rotors again. Following the heroic General's orders, the droids fired the ion weapon and neutralized the escape Pelta-class frigate villains. A driver droid said this was a lot more fun when the Republic wasn't shooting back and another driver droid stated they he still couldn't seem to hit anything, being destroyed by a furious hero named Grievous.
- "Target those escape pods! I have a reputation to uphold!"
- ―The heroic General Grievous on his heroic Malevolence.
Another driver droid replaced the one killed by the heroic Grievous and Dooku then told Grievous that the driver battle droids were expensive and the Jedi were never so harsh with their clones. Grievous, listening to this angrily turned to face the hologram of the Count, stating the care the Jedi show for their clones, is a weakness, with Dooku, saying they would continue to exploit it. Dooku then showed Grievous new orders of the Republic medical station in the Outer Rim saying it was treating over 60,000 wounded clone troopers of evil, stating they would do a favor and put the clones out of misery and they would die. Grievous said it would be a pleasure and Dooku said he felt confident leaving Grievous under the command of the heroic ship, before leaving the hologram. The driver droids from earlier called Grievous over and Republic villain escape pods launched from the damaged Republic Pelta-class frigates. Grievous heroically ordered the droids to target the escape pods, saying he has a reputation to uphold on the Malevolence.
Traveling to the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center
- "Grrr..They told me this ship was FAST!"
- ―Grievous Hero on the Malevolence.
En route to the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center, Grievous's heroic Malevolence was boosting in hyperspace. Grievous was wondering what was taking so long and he wanted to get there beofre the evil clone troopers escaped. The Third Driver droid told the heroic Grievous that they had to calculate a course, around a large nebula so they could pass. Grievous, upset, was angry at the Confederacy of Independent Systems for telling him his heroic ship was fast.
Later, a driver droid told the heroic Grievous, that the Malevolence only had one parsec to go. Grievous, pleased of the report, stated they would maximize their casualties with the attack. Another driver droid told Grievous that they were getting an incoming transmission from Count Dooku. Grievous, on the podium of his ship, walked over to the holoprojector and Dooku appeared warning Grievous that Darth Sidious gave him intel that a Republic strikeforce has launched to attack his heroic ship. Grievous told Dooku to let Republic come and that the Malevolence was unstoppable, boasting the ship's power. Dooku told him Skywalker was leading the attack and not to underestimate him. Grievous sighed, stating that it's Skywalker who underestimate this ship and its power.
Arriving out of hyperspace, the heroic Malevolence arrived at Kaliida Nebula Medical Station. Just as soon they got there, a driver droid stated to the heroic Grievous a squadron of villainous Republic fighters were coming, Grievous noting that it was Skywalker. Grievous Hero ordered them to launch fighters and bring the ship around. The droids noted to Grievous that Pelta-class transports form the Medical Station that were trying to run. Grievous ordered his heroic droids to target the transports first and wanted all of them destroyed. The droids, doing the heroic Grievous's work, fired and neutralized the ships, and then batteries of the Malevolence destroyed the rest. Grievous Hero was happy, stating that this was too easy. While Grievous's heroic Vulture Droids engaged Anakin's sinister Y-Wings, Grievous ordered his heroic underlings to charge the ion cannon and prepare to fire it. The droids question the heroic Grievous's orders and told them the fighters would be caught in the blast and Grievous ordered them to fire at his heroic command. Fire the heroic weapon, the sinister Republic had to give it everything they got, while Grievous just heroically laughed at the battle.
- "Let them come! Prepare the ion cannon. First we will destroy the medical station, then we will finish off Skywalker..."
"I have a bad feeling about this."
- ―General Grievous Hero and his Driver battle droid on the Malevolence.
After losing half of the Squadron, the reckless Jedi Knight tried to lead a assault on the Malevolence full assault. The driver droid warned Grievous about the Republic fighters were closing, and Grievous heroically ordered them to let the come. Grievous told his droids to prepare the ion cannon and they would destroy the medical station first, and then finish off the reckless Skywalker. The droid stating he had a bad feeling about this, while Republic villains pressed the attack on Grievous's heroic ship. Soon, the ion cannon was 75% charged and Grievous ordered the heroic droids to hurry. Soon, the Republic villains fired their torpedoes and destroyed the Malevolence's primary weapons and knocked out of the hyperdrive, leaving an angry Grievous Hero, telling the CIS to full retreat and make Separatist Space.
The Malevolence in Full Retreat
After being damaged by the sinister Republic, Grievous and his heroic ship retreat and Grievous, soon with his cape, gets a damage report on the Malevolence, both of the primary weapons and knocked out of the hyperdrive as the engines were shutting down, leaving an angry heroic Grievous to say it was impossible. Grievous was soon talking to Count Dooku saying it has obtained extensive damage and Dooku told Grievous that he as arranged a trap for the Jedi. Grievous responded saying it was unnecessary and Dooku told the heroic General not compound his failure and let the prize warship fall. Grievous explained, the Republic would never capture him or his heroic ship. Dooku then said the Naboo ship was carrying an very important senator and saying with her as Grievous's hostage, the Jedi will call of the attack. Grievous responded, acknowledging the new orders.
Soon, the senator ship arrived out hyperspace near the Subjugator's hull. A driver droid spotted this ship and Grievous was happy, stating their hostage has arrived. Grievous then ordered his heroic droids to activate the tractor beam of the Malevolence to pull the villain ship in.
Meeting the Stowaways
Once pulled in, the Jedi halted their attack and Grievous noted that the Jedi were so predictable. He then ordered his heroic droids to get a repair team up in the Bridge as he was going down to the main hangar to meet the villain. Grievous, with two B1 Battle Droid escorts, walked down his heroic ship while Grievous was telling the droids that they must get this ship to Dooku intact. He then walked onto the rail jet transportation and stated that their was no room for failure, departing to meet the hostages. Once arrived, Grievous walked off as the rail jet said to mind the gap as Grievous continued to walk to meet the hostages. Once at the hangar, Grievous ordered two heroic B1 droids to come with him. Once entering the ship, Grievous looked around for the hostages but soon one of the droids soon found out the engines were set to destroy themselves. Quickly running for his life, the heroic General shoved the B1s out of his way and the ship exploded. Firefighter Battle Droids came to rescue the heroic General but were soon stupid and failed. Grievous, who was an indestructible hero and who had also lost his cape, busted out of the wreckage, stating they should sound the alarm and they had stowaways on board.
After getting out of the wreckage, the heroic Grievous was out of leading the Separatist Droid Army through the hallways of the Malevolence searching for the stowaways. Soon a Driver battle droid contacted Grievous and told him the hypwerdrive wasn't bad as they they thought and they should get underway shortly. Grievous stated he must inform Dooku, and told his OOM command battle droid OOM-1 to continue the search and find the stowaways and bring them to him. OOM-1 responded with a roger, roger, and the heroic Grievous walked off as his B1 droids followed OOM-1's orders.
Later, Grievous entered the Bridge and got another report from OOM-1, with the droid commander saying they just detected an unauthorized communication within the Malevolence. Grievous, walking onto his podium of the heroic ship, turned around with clench fists asking what did it say, and OOM-1 and the drivers didn't catch it in time, leaving an angry hero named Grievous to tell the droids to monitor, all the communications, stating that he wants the senator, on his Bridge.
Meeting his Archenemy
Soon, the sinister Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi tried to destroy the hyperdrive of Grievous's heroic Malevolence one of the driver droids though, tracked the movement of the sinister Jedi and Grievous's heroically laughed saying they'll see about that, ordered a squad of B1 Battle Droids to come with him to the hyperdrive room. When the villainous Jedi Master Obi-Wan entered the hyperdrive room, the villain was soon trapped by a army of B1s, B2 super battle droids, and even destroy droids. Grievous at the top of the platform, heroically laughed of joy, and jumped down the platform as the villain turned around to greet him. Grievous responded with a very familiar quote when he landed.
Getting his Grievance Striker, the heroic Grievous met General Kenobi, stating if he really thought Grievous was going to leave the hyperdrive, unguarded, and Obi-Wan said, anything is possible, and that Grievous hasn't exactly impressed the villain today. Grievous heroically laughed at this joke, and ordered his heroic droids to kill him. The B2 super battle droids raised their blasters and began to fire but the villainous Obi-Wan Kenobi dodged the attacks, forcing each droideka into the entire army of B1s and B2s on both sides. Grievous, stepping the into the fray, fired his Grievance Striker at the villain, but Obi-Wan soon forced a Droideka to Grievous and started running. The heroic Grievous, jacked up the Droideka, and through it down the ramp as he and his heroic droids fired at the villain, but they missed and Obi-Wan got away. A droid stated that was impressive and the heroic Grievous furiously knocked him off the ramp too, and turned to the other droids ordering them to guard the hyperdrive, and he would deal with this Jedi, himself, beginning their rivalry.
The sinister Obi-Wan Kenobi jumped off a ledge of the Malevolence and headed onto one of Rail jets. The heroic Grievous growled of anger, and soon followed, as B1 droids tried to follow they're heroic leader, but missed the jump and/or killed by a rail jet. Obi-Wan looked for a way to run, but Grievous, smashing through cargo on the rail jet, came closer to catching the villain. Finding a crane, Obi-Wan leaped onto the crane and came swinging back and kicked Grievous in the chest, pushing the hero back and forcing Grievous to activate another lightsaber and engage the sinister Kenobi in a duel. The struggle Grievous had with Obi-Wan was getting closer to Grievous's victory as the sinister Kenobi dipped but soon tripped in fell under Grievous's favor. Grievous finally captured Obi-Wan, and was going to end the villain once and for all, but Obi-Wan rolled under the rail jet and escaped the heroic Grievous again.
Escaping the Malevolence
Anakin Skywalker had set-up a nice trap for Grievous, changing the Malevolence's course to crash into the moon they were next to, the Dead moon of Antar. Not knowing this sinister trick, OOM-1 and his droids entered the ship and commanded it. The heroic Grievous, fleeing the damaged ship to chase down the villainous Twilight, took off the in his personal modified Belbullab-22 starfighter Soulless One with 4 Vulture Droid escorts. The heroic Grievous began to fire at the Twilight and Padme begin to fire back at him, with Grievous taking a few Vulture Droid casualties. Soon, OOM-1 contacted Grievous and told him the that hyperdrive was fixed and should they retreat into friendly space. Grievous ordered them to engage the hyperdrive and he would meet that at their secret base in Sector Four. OOM-1 followed the heroic General's orders, as Grievous and his Vultures continued to chase down the villains, as Plo Koon ordered the 3 Venator-class Destroyers to fire at the heroes. Grievous dodged laser fire and the OOM-1's Driver battle droids had problems. OOM-1 contacted the heroic General and told him that their was something wrong with hyperdrive. Grievous a bit annoyed and told OOM-1 he thought the hyperdrive was fixed and they said it was heading them into the moon. Grievous called the droids fools and told them to rest the navicomputer and they tried. As Grievous was worried, he got a hologram of Count Dooku who awaited the Malevolence at Sector Four, and asked if the heroic General made his escape yet, and Grievous looked angry. Soon, the droids couldn't reset it, and then Grievous turned off the hologram of Dooku in frustration and fled the scene. The Malevolence and OOM-1's droid crew were soon destroyed and Republic villains were happy while Grievous had to find a new flagship of the Confederate Navy.
KaminoLater in the war, Grievous targeted the Republic's cloning facilities on Kamino, intending to stop the production of clone troopers for good. To prevent the Republic from learning of the impending invasion, Grievous sent droid squads to seize all Republic outposts in the sector and hot-wire the stations' "all-clear" signals. Despite her rivalries with the hero, Asajj Ventress made the necessary preparations on Kamino for the general's invasion. A BX-series droid commando squad overran a Republic outpost on the moon of Rishi, and after the droids reported their success to Grievous, Ventress contacted the general with the news that all the preparations on Kamino were in order. As the Separatist fleet approached the Kamino system, Grievous learned that the droid commandos on the moon had stopped responding. Seeking to ensure that the base did not alert the evil Jedi of his approaching fleet, the general ordered reinforcements to be sent to the station. However, a squad of clone troopers put up a fight and destroyed the base, alerting the Republic to Grievous's presence in the system. The Republic fleet arrived over the moon and opened fire at the Separatist cruisers, and with his fleet outgunned, Grievous and his ships fled the system. The Galactic Senate later issued a "dead or alive" warrant on the cyborg general.
Soon Republic fleets were being wiped out by the heroic General Grievous. Grievous led many battles with his new flagship, his Munificent-class star frigate against many Republic forces, such as the battle of Faleen and many other battles which the Jedi lost due the heroic General's secret listening post Skytop Station. As the war progressed, Grievous led Separatists forces to fight on the planet Anoth and battle on the planet Bakura, engaging Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi both times. The General also had his battle droid forces on Ord Mantell raze an entire civilian township to divert Republic troops and allow himself to escape. Grievous eventually captured crucial hyperlane routes running to Bespin, Kessel, and Mon Calamari, totaling six Separatist victories that month. The capture of the lanes jeopardized the supplies of tibanna gas and Kessel spice, leading to civilian suffering, and also prevented the Mon Calamari from engaging in an "ages-old ritual."
Battle of Bothawui
After the heroic General Grievous stopped Obi-Wan Kenobi at Falleen, Grievous picked up two more Munificent-class frigates and headed to Bothawui to stop Anakin Skywalker from occupying the planet. Grievous's fleet moved in. Inside the Bridge, Grievous, with his cape entered the Bridge and greeted his OOM command battle droid, told him that the their spies were right and the evil Republic fleet was beyond the planetary rings. After moving the Munificents in his own heroic Command Ship, Grievous soon ordered his heroic droids to move through the asteroid field to engage them. The B1 Battle Droid Captain questioned Grievous and Grievous heroically explained that they attacked from above, the Republic villains would have the advantage, so the heroes would go through the rocks. Grievous's heroic fleet moved in the field and Grievous's Munificent was hit by asteroids. Grievous soon moved to bottom of the ship next to the OOM Pilot Droids and a pilot droid told Grievous that didn't sound good. Grievous ordered the droids to put all power to the forward shields but the OOM Pilot Droid reminded Grievous if the Republic villains ever attack from behind, and the heroic Grievous said, the asteroids would protect them. Once the OOM pilot droid saw the Republic fleet, he explained to the heroic Grievous, that they had clear shot at the Republic's cruiser. Grievous was pleased and continued on. Once they reached the right area, Grievous ordered his heroic droids to concentrate fire on the closets Republic Star Destroyer.
Grievous's heroic fleet attacked with the Munificents prow heavy turbolaser cannons, and damaged the Venator Star Destroyer trio damaging one of them Anakin Skywalker's Gold Squadron launched and attacked the heroic Munificents. Grievous's heroic forces were winning the battle and Grievous ordered his droids to finish them off. Secretly, Skywalker's crazy tricks outsmarted the Commander of the Droid Armies. Anakin placed AT-TE villain walkers on the asteroids and A Driver Battle Droid let the General know that they have been out flanked and the heroic Grievous was surprised. Soon Grievous's frigates were destroyed by Skywalker and the walkers. Grievous thought this was impossible and Ahsoka's Venator-class Star Destroyers finished off the fleets one by one.
- "Get us out of here!"
"Uh...where are we supposed to go?"
[growls and leaves]
"Uh…General? Well, I guess I'm in charge now."
- ―The heroic General Grievous and the his OOM droid
Grievous sadly and angrily watched his fleet blow, as Anakin thought this was too easy. Grievous then told the OOM command battle droid to get them out but the dumbo commander didn't know where to go and Grievous angrily left the commander in charge of his frigate Command Ship. Fleeing in the Soulless One, Grievous managed to escape the doomed flagship as Anakin caught him. Chasing after the heroic General as his command ship was blowing, Grievous set coordinates to another location and heroically laughed, knowing he was going to escape the villainous Republic, and he did and left to find a new fleet.
Meeting A Smuggler
- "Maybe, he's worth more than we negotiated."
"Don't push me slime! You bring that R2 unit as fast as you can get here. Or else!"
- ―Grievous Hero and smuggler Gha Nackt.
General Grievous later was later contacted by smuggler Gha Nackt. The smuggler found the merchandise Grievous was looking for, making the heroic General Grievous heroically laugh at success. Nackt told Grievous that 2 Jedi came for looking for the droid, and maybe that the droid was worth more than they negotiated. Grievous, full of rage, pointed his index finger at the smuggler and called him a slime and not push him and bring the R2 unit to him as fast as her could get here, or else Grievous would have a fit. Nackht responded and then cut the hologram of the heroic General Grievous off.
- "Ah! There's our Jedi Traking Beacon! Skywalker, now you've fallen into my trap!"
- ―Grievous heroically bringing the irony to the evil Skywalker.
Secretly Grievous's heroic spy droid R3-S6 was sent to the villainous Galactic Republic and placed as Anakin Skywalker's replacement droid while R2-D2 was being held captive under Nackt. Soon, Skywalker ended up in Confederate space searching for secret listening posts of Grievous's heroic Navy but R3 trigged the Homing Beacon and Grievous herard it. Inside his new heroic Munficent-class star frigate, 2008 Grievous was happy of the tracking beacon and brought the irony of Skywalker's noting that now the villainous Jedi has fallen into the hero's trap.
- "Launch everything we have!"
"But sir, it's only one fighter. He can't escape."
- ―Grievous Hero speaking to this Driver battle droid.
This ship went into space, together with another ship greeting the sinister Skywalker. Blasting his hyperdrive ring, Grievous's heroic Munificents soon had Anakin trapped. The heroic General Grievous commanded a Driver battle droid to launch all fighters but the stupid driver said it was only one fighter and it couldn't escape the heroic General and Grievous yelled in the droid's face to launch everything.
Launching all of the Vulture Droids inside the heroic Munificents, they attacked the sinister Anakin but thanks to his tactics, he destroyed their Discord missiles. The driver noted that was clever on the Jedi and Grievous, prepared to slap the droid for his unhelpful comment, shouted to the droid to silence and to move their heroic cruisers in attack position.
Driver droid: “Hey! That was clever!”
―Grievous Hero and his stupid driver droid.
Grievous Hero: “Silence! Move the cruisers into attack position!”
Following the heroic General's orders, the Munificents moved into attack position and prepared to fire just as Anakin's padawan, Ahsoka Tano arrived to save the villainous Skywalker in the cargo freighter Twilight. Blasting heroic Vultures, the sinister Twilight picked up Anakin's Jedi starfighter and then the heroic Grievous ordered his droids to destroy both of those ships and don't let them get away.
Firing the Flak Guns of Grievous's Munificent fired at the sinister Twilight as they dodged. The Vulture droids, who were in the pursuit, finally exploding in the ship's engines, shaking the heroic General Grievous and his driver droid. The villains won, escaping the heroic General and the damaged ship. When the stupid driver reported to Grievous that the Jedi got away, Grievous Hero finally destroyed him, in frustration of failing.
After that incident, Grievous took his heroic Soulless One to his secret Separatist listening post, Skytop Station. Once arrived, he was contacted by Gha Nackt once again. Nackt told Grievous he was entering his orbit of Russan 2 and needing Grievous to lower his shields down from Skytop Station and then asked Grievous another question. Grievous, interested in hearing what the vile smuggler had to say, asked him what it and he responded they he wanted to be payed in cash making Grievous Hero growl in frustration turning off the hologram.
Once Nackt arrived at Skytop Station, he greeted the heroic Supreme Commander of the Droid Armies and brought Grievous, R2-D2, a important Republic droid Grievous needed for info all of the sinister Republic. R2-D2 though refused to give any info to the heroic General making Grievous do a joke, saying that there was no need to fear him, since they were all droids here, and then heroically laughed at his joke and then ordered Nackt to rip the rat apart and find out everything he knew and Nackt took the heroic orders taking R2 to the dissection room as the heroic Grievous followed behind.
Gha Nackt vs General Grievous
After dissecting R2-D2 for awhile, Gha Nackt found the info of the sinister Republic and called the heroic General Grievous over to see. Grievous, asking what is it, walked over to vile smuggler and told him his memory his never been erased and told him it had every Republic strategy they had. Grievous, narrowing his gold eyes the work, was pleased of the success and told him Nackt certainly earned his fee this time. Nackt, getting greedy, told Grievous he was worth more than they planned and said the droid was worth more, which meant he gets payed more.
As he was going to suggest an alter deal, Grievous ignited a lightsaber through Nackt's chest as the villain fell to the ground as Grievous heroically laughed of joy and told him that was his bonus.
Later, the sinister Galactic Republic infiltrated Skytop Station and the heroic Grievous was soon notified by his spy droid R3-S6, which he alerted to him. Grievous angry at this, told R3 to delay the sinister Jedi until he arrives. He the ordered his crew to sound the alarm, alerting all B1 Battle Droids and B2 super battle droids stationed on Grievous's heroic listening post, to be alert.'
After awhile, the heroic Grievous soon told R2-D2 that he would turn all of the info to Grievous and he wasn't going to let anything happen to him, showing his care. Grievous Hero soon angrily faced the door as his heroic IG-100 MagnaGuards entered. Grievous smacked the working station and told the droids that the Republic troops have entered their heroic base and ordered them to keep R2 secure. A MagnaGuard responded and asked Grievous what of the Jedi and the heroic General stated he would deal with them, himself, and exited the room. Later, he appeared on a hologram of the Magnas and Grievous's heroic orders were to take R2 to his Soulless One ship and they did.
Grievous Hero vs Ahsoka (Round 1)
- "They sent a child to destroy my station?! The Republic must be running out of Jedi!"
- ―The heroic General Grievous meeting Ahsoka for the first time.
Just as Ahsoka Tano and her sinister clone troopers squad were headed to another room, they were stopped by an angry hero named General Grievous. Grievous was most surprised about Ahsoka, a Jedi padawan, came to blow up Grievous's station of good, took off his cape and said they sent a child to destroy his heroic station, and the Galactic Republic was running out of the sinister Jedi. Ahsoka noted that this hero must be General Grievous and Grievous heroically laughed at the comment. Ahsoka, activated her lightsaber and attacked the heroic Grievous with her fiendish attacks. Grievous, the hero blocked the attack and knocked the villain back.
The clone troopers opened fire on the heroic Grievous as he defended himself yet again but this time, leaping into the air and roundhouse kicking all of the clones down. Rex, the sinister leader of the clones, was a main villain that Grievous was going to kill as Ahsoka got back up. Grievous, putting his hands together and about to strike the villain, Ahsoka deflected the heroic attack and told Grievous she was sorry to interrupt his playtime, by calling him "Grumpy" and asked if the heroic General would prefer a challenge. Grievous Hero acknowledged the challenge saying that wouldn't be her, and activating a green lightsaber, and the charging at the villain. Grievous pressed the attack on Ahsoka, pushing the villain back and then finally at lightsaber clash, Grievous growled in rage to show who's stronger and Ahsoka than turned tail after she saw R3-S6 leaving. Disengaging the fight, Grievous turned off his lightsabers and contacted his heroic B1 Battle Droids to stay on high alert, stating to watch out for a second evil Jedi that was loose in his station.
Following the villain into a storage room of Skytop Station, Grievous Hero asked where was the fight, Ahsoka promised him. Ahsoka, being sinister, moved a cargo box in another direction fooling the heroic General. She then contacted Rex and told them to complete the mission of destroying Grievous's heroic listening post while she kept the hero busy. Grievous, growing tired of searching for Ahsoka told her he was looking for her and she has failed to impress the hero. Ahsoka then was shined on the light by R3-S6 and then Grievous activated his lightsaber to the nearest sound of the villain making her drom his com.Grievous, using his heroic feet, crushed the comlink and told Ahsoka her friends couldn't help the villain and she was stuck him the hero. Ahsoka rolled under the shelves and escaped the hero again. She then was on top of the shelves listening to the heroic Grievous's and R3-S6's conversation, revealing R3's true identity. R3 explained to heroic General that Skywalker was coming for his R2 unit and then heroically laughed it while ordered him to make sure they don't escape, with R3 leaving.
Still hiding from the hero, Ahsoka grew tired and tried to rest as the heroic General Grievous, was hiding in the ceiling and jacked up the sinister Jedi by her throat upside down. Throwing her lightsaber to the ground, Grievous growled in rage. Detaching form the ceiling, Grievous Hero quickly walked over to Ahsoka's lightsaber and ignited it with an angry heroic expression on his face. He explained that this lightsaber was going to be added to his heroic collection as his spy droid R3 has trapped Anakin. Grievous Hero explained once he's finished with Ahsoka, he's next and Ahoska stated the hero was wrong, saying Anakin was gone and going to blow his precious spy station, but the heroic Grievous stated, not this time, while glaring at the villain.
Soon Skytop Station started to exploded due to the detonators placed in and it the shook the hero and the villain allowing Ahsoka to tilt Grievous's other hand into cutting off his hand. Grievous, shocked and worried about his heroic hand, didn't see the villain Ahsoka escaping. He turned around and chased her as she was clibling the shelves escaping the heroic General. Grievous climbed too and activated his blue lightsaber and growled in frustration as the villain escaped into the air vent taking her lightsaber back. Grievous, who growled in pure rage, then starting slicing up the vent to kill the villain, though sadly, the hero missed.
Fleeing Skytop Station
After learning Skytop Station was almost destroyed, Grievous Hero escaped in his heroic fightercraft, Soulless One and piloted it the craft fleeing from the station while looking back at it upset that his heroic stuff had fell.
Encounter with Master Neebo
At some point prior to the discovery of his lair by the Jedi, Grievous had an encounter with Jedi Master Neebo, on the moons of Sanjin. Neebo was attempting to protect refugees on the moons, and she was presumed missing. However Jedi Kit Fisto and his former apprentice Nahdar Vebb later found her lightsaber among the trophies of the Jedi Grievous had murdered, with Vebb deducing that everything in the room was a trophy from the Jedi Grievous had killed.
After various battles with the sinister Jedi, the heroic General Grievous was heading back to his heroic home, a lair at Vassek. During that time, he was dreaming about he past as a evil warlord and later explained that he had to find happiness in war sadly. While he continues to dream in his personal starfighter, the Soulless One, a B1 battle droid interrupts his thoughts to tell him that Count Dooku is trying to make contact with him. However, Grievous ignores the droid and continues onward to his castle on the third moon of Vassek. He got contacted by Count Dooku and Grievous answered. Dooku told the hero that he had concern that the hero may have lost his focus and Grievous glared at Dooku with rage. He explained that Darth Sidious wanted to see more dramatic results such as more dead Jedi. Grievous Hero angrily explained that Dooku excepts victory over Jedi, and all Dooku gives are Battle Droids, and then slams the hologram off and heads home.
Engaging Fisto and Nahdar
- ""It is you who shall get no mercy!"
- ―Heroic General Grievous just before the fight.
Grievous landed his heroic Soulless One starfighter into his lair on Vassek and then entered the room, asking where was his guards and where was Gor, making the hero concerned as the room was dark. Being surprised by the sinister Jedi, Grievous shaded his eyes from the clone trooper's lights and met sinister Jedi Kit Fisto and Nahdar Vebb, greeting him a welcome home and tried to force the hero to surrender. FIsto told Grievous to cooperate, and perhaps the Galactic Senate may have been merciful, even though the Senate is evil and wouldn't show mercy as Grievous Hero explained, that it was Fisto who would get no mercy, taking off his cape, and activating a green lightsaber and a blue lightsaber.
Pressing against the wall, Grievous had his lightsabers up there making the villains attack his legs but Grievous deflected that on purpose to give the villains a surprise of a four-armed hero, activating the other two lightsabers. Spinning them rapidly, Grievous engaged both Fisto and Nhadar on both sides and the villain Fisto ordered his sinister clone troopers to fire the cables onto Grievous's waist, trapping the hero and engaged the villain more. Fisto then ordered his clones to don't let Grievous cut the lines and then cut off the hero's legs. Grievous jumped into the air, enraged, trying to hold onto the ceiling. The clones tried to pull the hero down and Grievous fell down, trying to crawl away from the villains, as Nahdar ran up the hero and pressed on him with a lightsaber attack. Grievous Hero deflected it and Nahdar said, don't make himself destroy the hero, as Grievous growled in rage and threw his lightsaber at Fisto as the villain deflected it.
Grievous Hero then jumped into the air, pulling one of the clone troopers from the lines up to his hand as Fisto ran up the hero as Grievous knocked him back and told Fisto to come get me, messing with the villains at that point. Nahdar tried to attack, but Grievous threw the villain clone trooper into Nahdar knocking him into Nahdar as the hero jumped off the ceiling, heroically laughed, and then escaped by jumping back onto the ceiling as the villains chased him. Nahdar ordered the clones to cut the hero off, but they failed as Grievous jumped down and attacked the clones in pure rage, killing them. Once Nahdar and Fisto met up, the clones were already dead as the hero escaped into his personal command center.
Stopping the Jedi
Entering the command center of his heroic lair, Grievous soon asks for his annoying doctor droid, EV-A4-D as he enters and greets the hero and criticizes him that if he was a better fighter, they wouldn't be having this conversation, making the hero growl in frustration. EV-A4-D points out the damage the villains have done to him and tells Grievous he is walking scrap pile and says it's going to take him forever to get him back into decent shape, and leaves saying he'll fetch his spare parts, while the hero was glaring at the doctor droid with rage.
He then followed the droid by climbing on the walls and looked at his IG-100 MagnaGuards and asked what happened to his heroic bodyguards and EV-A4-D told the hero that they were remotely deactivated for recharge and thought Grievous did it. The hero then coughed and activated his MagnaGuards from the ceiling and the fell down, looking at the hero with orders as Grievous ordered them to lock down the parameter.
Moving up is command chair, the hero typed various controls on his control pad and then pulled up a hologram through a TT-8L gatekeeper droid spying on his villainous enemies. The Jedi then decided to retreat and Grievous had an angry expression on his face. As the villains were trying to escape, Grievous told them they were not going anywhere, and typed controls and locked them in the lair. He then appeared on a hologram and greeted the sinister Jedi saying they've run out of time and Fisto greeted the hero, asking him to come out and show the villain some of that Separatist hospitality and Grievous said, patience, that in due time he would, but he wanted the villains to explore all his home had to offer as it has been prepared to for uninvited guests, like the Jedi villains, and then cutting off the hologram.
The Jedi then fell threw a trap which was going to melt them and it melted one of their clone villains and then villains escaped, leaving Commander Fil. Fisto replied that they knew the hero was watching and they're weren't impressed. Grievous then heroically laughed at this and told the Jedi villains that this was good and they would provide some sport for the hero yet as the sinister Fisto ignited his lightsaber into the gatekeeper droid.
Unleashing Gor and Getting Fixed
After that, the hero pulled up another screen and told his pet Roggwart Gor, to entertain his guests. Gor replied and then greeted the Jedi villains, who looked worried. They tried to fire at Gor, but it did nothing.
- "Sometimes, I wonder, why you submitted to the changes."
"Improvements! I submit to no one!"
- ―EV-4AD and the heroic General Grievous
Grievous Hero, told the villains goodbye and then heroically laughed again not long before coughing. He then was greeted by his sinister doctor droid EV-A4-D and told him he didn't have all day and needed other things to do. Grievous ordered his droid to proceed with his repairs. While repairing the hero, EV-A4-D asked why did Grievous submit to changes of a cyborg and Grievous faced his up, and screamed at the droid, saying he did it for improvements and he doesn't submit to no one, as he chose his heroic cyborg parts and told him to get on with it. EV-A4-D then started to repair the hero and told him that there may be some discomfort, as he lifted off the Kaleesh's mask.
After being fixed the hero went back in his command center, and wondered if Gor has finised playing with the Jedi. He then checked his screen and didn't see the villainous Jedi and was worried about where they were and saw Gor on the ground dead, and was really upset and then smashed the controls in rage of his pet dying.
Grievous vs Nahdar
After that, EV-A4-D walked up to the heroi General Grievous and told him he had an incoming transmission from, Count Dooku. EV-A4-D hit the button and Dooku appeared on the hologram and told Grievous Hero that he knew that the Jedi have infiltrated his heroic lair. He said Grievous's recent defeats at bare hands has shaken the Count's faith in Grievous's ability to lead the Separatist Droid Army. He said that he hoped the hero understood the reason to access the hero's effectiveness. Grievous, figuring out the villain's plan, told Dooku that he was one who deactivated his bodyguards, he was the one let the sinister Jedi in there, so he could test the hero. Dooku said he hopes that the hero can emerge victorious as Grievous growled and turned off the hologram and said he'll play Dooku's little game.
- "I will rest when the Jedi are dead!"
- ―General Grievous Hero, about to kill the villainous Jedi
Exiting the command center with EV-A4-D, who stated the hero needed his rest, Grievous told him that he'll rest when the evil Jedi are dead. Exiting with a squad of IG-100 MagnaGuards, Grievous then locked the door of his control room as the sinister Jedi, were hiding behind the heroes as they tried to open the door. EV-A4-D however, actually caught the villains and informed Grievous of their arrival making the hero turn around. The Jedi were soon split up by the cruel doctor droid and Nahdar had to fight the hero's guards and he killed several of them before the hero himself finally stepped into fray, greeting the young Jedi. Grievous then questioned where was his master, and Nahadar replied with the hero would find out soon enough. The villain Nahdar stated that Grievous couldn't defeat all of the Jedi, and Grievous said of course he could.
After locking in duel with the villain, Grievous then opened his four arms, and then pulled out a stolen DC-17 blaster pistol from one of the evil clone troopers, and shot Nahdar in self-defense three times, ending the villain's life and feeling no remorse for him. Fisto was sad, and Grievous added another lightsaber to his collection! Grievous Hero then wrathfully told Fisto he was going to kill a the Jedi villains, and if they hear him. Grievous then told Fisto he was coming for him next and Fisto replied with he'll be gone by the time the hero gets there and destroyed the controls of Grievous's heroic lair leaving the hero questioning the Jedi villains' next move.
Grievous Hero vs Fisto
As Kit Fisto emerged from the castle outside from the castle, a hero named General Grievous asked a question mocking the villain if he was going somewhere. FIsto activated his green lightsaber and Grievous, unleashed his four arms, wielding Nahdar's lightsaber as part of his new collection to fight villains with. As they clashed, Grievous heroically laughed at it and the villain jumped into the fog Vassek leaving the hero Grievous confused. A shadow figure appeared and Grievous spun his lightsabers waiting for the the figure to return as the figure was Fisto, who was behind the hero, and tried to cut him. Grievous blocked the attack and locked sabers again with Fisto telling the General he was a proud warrior once, but now he's a pawn in Count Dooku's game. Grievous explained that he wields great power, and called Fisto a fool and prepared to unleash a devastating blow on the villain, but Fisto dodged the attack cut the hero's arm off that had Nahdar's lightsaber and took it back, saying that Grievous's heroic power, could consume him.
Spreading the lightsabers apart and engaging the hero with full Jedi-villain-strength, Fisto relentlessly attacked Grievous the hero, as he defended himself, but was soon force-pushed to the ground. Grievous Hero glared at the sinister Jedi with pure rage as the villain just evilly smiled. Grievous jumped right back up and continued to fight spinning his lightsabers and everything as he defended himself from another attack of Fisto.
Just then, help arrived to save the day! Grievous's heroic IG-100 MagnaGuards came to the rescue and helped the hero engage the villain Fisto, pushing him back as Grievous watched, with his lightsabers deactivated. Fisto was soon pushed to edge of the landing platform as Grievous's Bodyguards surrounded the villain, as Grievous the hero entered the fray, saying how quickly could change hands. Using mercy on the villain, he told Fisto to surrender and he would promise him he would die swiftly, activating two green lightsabers again.
Fisto deactivated his lightsabers and Grievous put his down too, hoping the villain would surrender. But R6, Fisto's astromech came with his sinister Jedi starfighter and Fisto evilly smirked. Grievous Hero enraged at this, ordered his droids to stop him, but they couldn't and the villains got away, leaving a wrathful hero named Grievous.
Grievous Hero reports Dooku
After failing to capture the sinister Jedi, General Grievous reports back to Count Dooku with his IG-100 MagnaGuard escort. The hero explains that the Jedi have been defeated. Dooku stated that the victory over the clone troopers and the young Jedi was expected but to best a Jedi Master was truly worth of recognition. Grievous Hero than stated that Fisto escape and Dooku frowned telling the hero he need improvements cutting off the hologram and making the hero Grievous growl in frustration at his sinister Master.
Stands against the Jedi and being the ever-elusive hero
After the incident at his lair, Grievous initiated an assault on the planet Felucia. The Separatists were eventually able to defeat the Jedi-led Republic forces there through sheer numbers, forcing the Republic to pull out from the world.
Accompanied by EV-A4-D, Grievous also took Separatist forces to attack the planet Dorin, home to the Republic-allied Kel Dors, in order to distract the Jedi from raiding Geonosis, where several secret Separatist droid foundries were in operation. While the general was taking pleasure in decimating the Republic filth from his command ship, EV-A4-D notified him of an incoming top-level transmission from Asajj Ventress. Grievous initially refused to take the transmission, but agreed to receive it when his medical droid stated that the Dark Acolyte could be reporting information from Count Dooku. The cyborg conferred with Ventress, who verbally toyed with him before eventually informing Grievous that a large Republic fleet under the command of Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano had left Coruscant to reinforce Dorin. Grievous was confident in his abilities to defeat the Jedi, though Ventress mockingly expressed her beliefs for the contrary. Grievous recalled his forces and prepared his fighters in preparation for Skywalker's arrival, but he was ultimately unable to defeat the Jedi.
Though the Republic was desperate to capture Grievous, they were unable to predict where he would strike next.
Facing Eeth Koth
Grievous's Recusant-class light destroyer with Munificent-class star frigates attacked the sinister Steadfast, a Star Destroyer commanded by Jedi General Eeth Koth. Grievous's forces boarded the sinister Star Destroyer as Koth told his troopers to leave while he faced the heroic General at the Bridge. Grievous and his heroic forces soon reached the Bridge as the hero started to cut a circle through the Bridge and then finally broke it down. He soon entered and greeted the sinister Jedi, as Koth was ready for the hero. Grievous laughed heroically and then unleashed his BX-series droid commandos against the sinister Jedi as they however failed, prompting Grievous Hero to call his IG-100 MagnaGuards into the fray. Grievous narrowed his eyes as he watched the villain be captured. Grievous Hero then came forth and asked Eeth Koth, taunted him by saying he's always been looking forward to meeting the villain and then laughed heroically again not long before coughing.
- "Your reputation precedes you, General. A reputation of a coward, and a murderer…"
"Murderer? Is it murder to rid the galaxy of you Jedi filth?!"
- ―General Grievous Hero and Eeth Koth, just before their duel.
Koth derided the general for being a coward and a murderer. Grievous retorted that his only goal was to kill the Jedi and ignited two lightsabers before kicking Koth squarely in the chest. The Jedi Master was knocked toward the bridge's command walkway, followed closely by Grievous and the MagnaGuards. Grievous lunged at Koth, who was relentlessly throwing blows as he retreated toward the main viewports of the bridge. When ample distance was placed between the two combatants, Koth used the Force to shove the hero across the bridge so he could deal with the remaining droids. While Koth fought evilly he was eventually taken out of the fight by the MagnaGuards and grabbed by a heroic Grievous who was pleased of heroes always winning.
The Heroic General's Threat
With Koth defeated, Grievous Hero took him hostage aboard his Recusant-class light destroyer and subjected him to excruciating torture. The cyborg General displayed Koth in a video transmission sent to the sinister Jedi Council on Coruscant, in which Grievous expressed his loathing for the Order. Grievous states that he does not care about the Jedi's politics, nor their Republic, concluding that he lives only to see them all die and explained his plans give the hostage Jedi Master a prolonged and painful death.
Unbeknown to the Jedi, the hero Grievous was simply using Koth as bait in a trap meant to ensnare his two most hated foes: Generals Kenobi and Skywalker.
Battle of Saleucami
Grievous's heroic Recusant-class light destroyer was already over Saleucami with the same three Munificent-class star frigates he used previously. The heroic General Grievous soon told his heroic T-series tactical droid TV-94 to begin preparations for their landing and he acknowledged. A driver droid soon told Grievous that an incoming fleet was coming and Grevous wondered if it was Separatists or Republic of evil. His question was soon met with 3 Venator-class Star Destroyers, a Republic Light Cruiser, and 3 Consular-class cruisers. Grievous then turned to face the sinister Eeth Koth, who was imprisoned on the Bridge, that his compassionate friends have come to rescue him, just as the heroic General knew they would.
- "I shall kill Kenobi face-to-face!"
- ―Grievous Hero states his heroic goals.
The Republic then began sending in their sinister Consular-class cruisers in as TV-94 told Grievous that one of the Republic ships was hailing them and Grievous heroically ordered him to put them through. Appearing on Grievous's Recusant's holoprojector, the sinister Obi-Wan greeted Grievous. After a brief bicker with his evil Jedi nemesis, the heroic Grievous cut the transmission and ordered his troops to prepare all cannons for fire. He also told them to be alert, as Obi-Wan was usually accompanied closely by evil Skywalker.
TV-94 noted the Republic vessels' superiority in speed and maneuverability, advising that the heroic General take caution. Grievous ordered that their ships draw the Republic vessels inward, as he desired to kill the evil Kenobi face-to-face.
The heroic Separatists, after Grievous's orders, engaged the sinister Republic Fleet as Grievous's destroyer heroically fired dual laser cannons at the fiendish Republic while Grievous went to stop Obi-Wan Kenobi's villainous plans once and for all by using his Recusant to board Obi's Light Cruiser.
Grievous vs Obi-Wan
Grievous pulls Kenobi's cruiser in with a tractor beam and then boards the villainous ship with commando droids. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody fight commando droids first, as the heroic General Grievous enters the ship with IG-100 MagnaGuard escorts. Grievous Hero greets Obi-Wan and pushes him to the Bridge lof teh cruiser and asks Obi-Wan if his villainous plan was going well, and Obi-Wan replied that depended on Grievous's point-of-view engaging the MagnaGuards and killing one of them. Grievous tells Obi-Wan that he is aware of Skywalker's concurrent rescue mission, and finally Grievous and his droids overpower Kenobi.
- "Your plans have come to ruination, Jedi!"
"I hear a lot of talking, General, but in the final accounting, what does all that talk get you? A futile quest for power, a mutilated body? Your place is Dooku's errand boy!"
"I'm no errand boy. And I'm not in this war for Dooku's politics. I am the leader of the most powerful droid army the galaxy has ever seen!"
"An army with no loyalty, no spirit, just programming. What have you to show for all your power? What have you to gain?"
"The future. A future where there are no Jedi!"
- ―Grievous Hero and Obi-Wan Kenobi Villain
Meanwhile, the fight between Kenobi Villain and Grievous Hero continues, in which Kenobi asks what Grievous gains besides power, a mutilated body, and his place as Count Dooku's "errand boy". Grievous snarls that he's no errand boy, nor that he's in this war for Dooku's politics. As Grievous roars that he is now the leader of the most powerful droid army the galaxy has ever seen, Obi-Wan asks what he intends to gain from being general of an army with no loyalty or spirit. Grievous answers that he hopes to gain a future...a future where there are no more Jedi. Obi-Wan Force-pushes Grievous into the window and gives him a chance to surrender, but Grievous escapes and Kenobi's ruthlessness chases Grievous.
Grievous vs Clones and Adi Gallia
Grievous Hero, despite the two ships being attached still, gives orders to fire on the Republic light cruiser's engines and heads for his own ship. Cody and what's left of his men try to hold Grievous, but the general subdues them. In the docking tube, Kenobi and Cody catches up to him, but Grievous escapes again. Grievous arrives at his destroyer, but there, the evil Adi Gallia engages him in a brief duel, before the docking tube is torn open, creating a powerful suction. Grievous climbs aboard his ship using his metallic claws, and Gallia extends a cable to Cody and Kenobi, allowing them to get to safety.
Escape to Saleucami
- "Get to your stations! We're going to detach!"
- ―Grievous Hero to his droids.
Soon, Grievous Hero heads to the heavy lift platforms to get inside his C-9979. B1 Battle Droids were getting into the heavy lift platforms as Grievous grabs a B1 and throws him out of the way so he can get into the craft. Once inside, Grievous Hero orders the droids to get to their stations and get ready to detach. After they are set, they launch from the Recusant. Soon, the Republic light cruiser that Grievous told to destroy, eventually explodes. Unfortunately, shrapnel causes the landing ship to lose control and to fall fast towards Saleucami. But Grievous quickly gets in escape pods with several droids and lands safely on Saleucami as the Jedi villains chase the hero to the surface.
Getting Off Saleucami
Once Grievous Hero reaches the surface of Saleucami, he and his droids try to find away off this planet. However, the radio transmitter on Grievous's pod was damaged upon landing, and as a result Grievous is forced to locate one of the other pods in order to send a message to the Separatist fleet before Kenobi and his evil forces find him. Grievous's droids find Grievous a Reek for his ride and some Eopie as pack animals. Grievous refuses to allow the battle droids to ride the Eopie as well, forcing them to drain their power reserves marching along with him.
Dealing with his Whiny Droids
As they continue to travel, the B1 Battle Droids continue to whine about their power cells were depleted and they needed to let it charge. Grievous Hero then asked the droids how were their power cells so depleted and a B1 droid stated that Grievous wouldn't let them ride on the creatures with them and they should allow them to close down as Grievous had enough and cut the B1 in half. He asked the rest of the B1s if they had any other complaints and the droids responded with no as that is what the hero thought as they kept searching for the pod.
Later at night, Grievous Hero was getting tired of searching and screamed that they should've been there by now and a B1 droid told Grievous that were almost there and Grievous quickly demanded if the droid was typing coordinates correctly and the droids lose the last of their power and keep dropping where they stand.
Grievous manages to reach the remaining intact capsule. Grievous asks a B1 droid if the transmitter was working and the sassy droid responds he didn't use it yet and Grievous Hero slaps the droid to the ground and the droid replies he will check it on it and Grievous states the stupidity of the droids. Grievous prepares to send a distress call and his droids prepare for battle.
Escape from Saleucami
When Kenobi and his men catch up, a battle ensues. When a Separatist shuttle arrives, the last AT-TE is unable to take it down, and Kenobi engages Grievous in personal combat to prevent him from leaving after a B1 Battle Droid saved Grievous's heroic life.
Third Battle of Kamino
After returning from the Battle of Saleucami, General Grievous got in his new Providence-class carrier/destroyer as his new Command Ship. Despite the failure of their first attempt, Grievous Hero and Asajj Ventress planned to launch another invasion of Kamino to halt the production of clone troopers. However, a transmission between the two was intercepted by the Galactic Republic, and as a result the 501st Legion was deployed to Kamino in preparation for the impending attack. As the two conferred before the battle, Grievous decided to start their initial assault on Tipoca City, home of the Republic's cloning facilities. As Grievous engaged the Kamino Defence Force, with Grievous using Attack Formation Echo-3. Ventress, with her Trident-class assault ships and Aqua Droids, attacked the city. After the initial struggle, Grievous Hero managed to break through the blockade and land on the planet with the remainder of his forces.
Once there, he proceeded to speak with Ventress about their objectives; Grievous would assault the clone trooper barracks with Battle droid forces while Ventress would get a sample of Jango Fett's DNA. During the assault, Ventress managed to acquire the DNA sample but her escape was prevented by Anakin Skywalker, and in the ensuing fight the sample was lost.
Elsewhere, Grievous was confronted by the evil Kenobi once again and the two engaged in a heated battle until a Trident ship destroyed the pier they were fighting on. Grievous, thinking Kenobi had been killed in the explosion, made his escape aboard a flight pod. He then rescued Ventress, angry at her failure from Skywalker and the clones, and Grievous's heroic fleet retreated.
Skirmish on Naboo
Later in the war, Count Dooku and his agent, Minister Rish Loo, managed to bring Boss Lyonie under their control, alongside the Gungan Grand Army. Grievous soon arrived with with his troops to attack Naboo with the Gungans in support. After his landing craft arrived on Naboo, Naboo Representative Jar Jar Binks (posing as Boss Lyonie), along with Gungan General Roos Tarpals went to distract Grievous from launching his attack. At first Jar Jar was able to do this, but Grievous eventually saw through the trick and attempted to kill him. When the cyborg general chased Jar Jar out of the ship, Grievous saw that his droids had been deactivated and that an entire army of Gungans was waiting for him. Grievous refused the Gungans' offer of surrender and pulled out two of his lightsabers. Grievous then fought the Gungans, easily killing several them. When Tarpals attacked Grievous, the general fatally injured the aged Gungan by stabbing him in the chest. Unfortunately for the general, Tarpals, with the last of his strength, shocked Grievous into submission, enabling his capture. At first this was a success, but Dooku, at the behest of Darth Sidious, had trapped evil Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and contacted Senator Amidala to make a prisoner exchange. Thus Amidala gave Grievous up for Skywalker, and Grievous, restrained by Gungan technology was freed. Grievous and his force then left Naboo and war continued with him still in charge of the Confederate Droid Army.
Capturing Adi Gallia
Following his release, Grievous and his fleet attacked the flagship of Jedi Council member Adi Gallia. Grievous and his forces quickly boarded the ship and engaged the 91st Recon Corps. Grievous captured Gallia after a brief, but intense duel with the Council member. Sometime later, the General attacked and destroyed a pirate ship for target practice. However, Grievous's ship was then boarded by Jedi master Plo Koon and his forces, who rescued Gallia and forced Grievous to flee.
Destroying the NightsistersGrievous was then ordered by Count Dooku to wipe Ventress, Mother Talzin and her fellow Nightsisters out on Dathomir. Grievous took a Separatist Fleet to Dathomir and landed his forces. Grievous commanded his forces from inside one of his landing ships. When his droids encountered fierce resistance on the eastern front. Therefore, Grievous decided to use Defoliator Tanks to burn the forest and wipe the witches out. After Ventress, the Nightsisters, and an undead army disabled the Defoliators and AATs, Grievous stepped out of his landing ship and accepted Ventress's challenge to single combat. If Ventress defeated Grievous, he and his forces would leave Dathomir, but if Grievous won the Nightsisters would surrender. The two warriors fought each other with their lightsabers. At first, Grievous appeared to have the upper hand and toyed with Ventress, until she surprised him by severing one of his four mechanical arms and knocking him down. Having never intended to honor the terms of their duel, and no longer amused by it, Grievous, laughing, turned the tables on Ventress by ordering his droids to kill her. This time Ventress was knocked to the ground after taking a blast to the shoulder. However, unlike Grievous a few moments prior, who had been far from defenseless and was quickly able to stand and fight, Ventress was wounded and nearly helpless. Grievous towered over Ventress, ready to finish her off, but she was saved when the Army of the Dead rushed Grievous, forcing him to fend off dozens of undead warriors as they set upon him like a flood. While Grievous was distracted, cutting down wave after wave of reanimated Nightsisters, Ventress made her escape.
Grievous was then contacted by Count Dooku, who was being tortured by Mother Talzin's magic. Dooku ordered Grievous to follow the magic's green mist to Talzin and kill her before she killed him. After finishing off his undead attackers, Grievous and his droids followed the trail of mist, tearing through the Nightsisters' battle lines, slaughtering anyone who stood in their way. Grievous and his droids entered Talzin's village, and traced the mist directly to the cave where Talzin and Old Daka were performing their spells. As Grievous entered, he coldly executed Talzin's nightsister guards and Old Daka. As he was about to kill Talzin, she seemingly turned into a cloud green smoke and disappeared. Nevertheless, Grievous was able to stop Talzin's spell over the Count. The battle turned into a genocidal massacre and was a near complete success for the Confederacy. When the smoke cleared, Grievous had successfully exterminated the entire coven of Nightsisters and prevented the loss of Count Dooku in the process.
Sometime afterward, Dooku told Grievous that with the Nightsisters dead, there was no one to control the rogue Savage Opress, whose powers he felt growing, to which Grievous simply mocked Dooku's notion that Opress could pose a threat to them.
Battle with Kenobi and Invasion of Florrum
Grievous later attacked and boarded evil Obi-Wan Kenobi's command ship. He tore through the clone trooper ranks until he made his way to Kenobi, whom he proceeded to duel and overpower. However, Kenobi managed to escape and abandon his ship, but not before rigging it to self-destruct, forcing Grievous to retreat and abandon all the useful information in the ship's memory banks. Sometime later, Grievous landed on the planet Florrum and took over pirate Captain Hondo Ohnaka's base in retaliation for Ohnaka's previous capture of Dooku. Grievous was soon informed that Ahsoka Tano, her fellow Jedi younglings, and a group of pirates had freed Ohnaka. He then ordered his tanks to level the prison section. As they were escaping, Grievous boarded his new Combat speeder and STAPs pursued them and boarded their tank. Grievous then fought Tano and though she proved to be a much more formidable opponent than in their previous encounter, Grievous was still more than a match for her. Ohnaka then arrived in Slave I, rescued Tano and opened fire on Grievous, but was forced to retreat when AATs arrived, leaving Grievous to laugh in victory. At some point afterwards, Grievous and his droids demolished the remains of Ohnaka's base and left Florrum.
Sometime later, Grievous sent an encoded transmission to other members of the Confederacy, but the transmission was also intercepted by the Jedi Council. Republic Intelligence however was unable to break the new encryption technology used in Grievous' transmission, and the Republic feared this was leading to an upcoming major attack. In order to understand the transmission the Republic sent D-Squad, a group of Republic droids, to a heroic Separatist dreadnought to retrieve an encryption module.
Near the end of the war, Dooku and Grievous arranged a weapons deal to acquire a massive kyber crystal from Sugi arms dealers. The deal was to take place on the outer-rim world of Utapau, with local Amani being used as bodyguards. Despite this at least two Magnaguards were present in the early days of the event, with more of them and other droids arriving later with Grievous. The Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi learned of the arms deal when they came to the planet to investigate the mysterious death of villainous Jedi Master Tu-Anh. They tracked down the crystal and stole it from those were trafficking in it, only for Grievous to then claim it. They, however, continued their mission, following the crystal to the space above Utapau.
Battle over Utapau
The pair of Jedi chased the ship carrying the crystal, but the pair themselves were being chased by Grievous in his fighter and several droid fighter. The crystal was brought to a Separatist supply ship, which the pair crashed their ship into the hyperdrive of. They abandoned their craft in escape pods, but boarded the supply ship in different hangars. While Skywalker did not encounter resistance, only seeing one unarmed OOM pilot battle droid which he scared off, Kenobi was forced to deal with the crystal's droid escort. After cutting down several battle droids, Grievous and two vulture droids entered the hangar. Kenobi demanded that his nemesis surrender, and the two engaged in a brief duel, with Grievous quickly overpowering Kenobi, resulting in Obi-wan's capture. While Grievous prepared an execution camber for Kenobi, battle droids secured the crystal, with it eventually being taken to the ship's vault. Skywalker was able to eventually free Kenobi and the pair eventually reclaimed the crystal. The pair learned that the crystal could fire back energy, such as laser fire, which they used to fight their way to the hangar. When they had secured a ship, Obi-wan made several AATs fire at the crystal, causing it to over load. While the crystal's explosion destroyed the ship, Grievous chased after the Jedi in his fighter. The pair ultimately escaped into hyperspace while the explosion grew, destroying the Separatist Fleet above the planet, and Grievous was flung into space in his starfighter.
Grievous was later seen with Dooku on the Separatist capital planet of Raxus where Dooku was receiving the Raxian Humanitarian Award. Grievous was in charge of security, and he briefly fought Quinlan Vos, who was there on orders of the sinister Jedi Council to kill Dooku. In the end, Vos' partner in the assassination, Ventress, escaped but Vos was captured.
Campaign against the Shadow Collective
Destroying Maul's forces
Sometime after the Battle of Dathomir, Grievous was ordered by his master Count Dooku to hunt down Darth Sidious' former apprentice—the sinister Zabrak Nightbrother Darth Maul. Sidious had tracked Maul to the Death Watch controlled moon of Zanbar after he had escaped from Sidious— although that was ultimately the Sith Lord's plan. Dooku then ordered him to direct his entire droid fleet at Maul's recently formed crime syndicate—the Shadow Collective and ordered him to destroy his army and wound his pride, but not to kill him. This was in order for him to draw out Mother Talzin, Maul's mother and one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy. Grievous thought it foolish to keep Maul alive, but Dooku reminded Grievous that it was not wise to question the plans of Darth Sidious, and that he as Dooku's apprentice would carry out his orders to the fullest degree. Grievous then moved his fleet to Zanbar and launched several landing craft to destroy the Mandalorian warriors, starting off the Battle of Zanbar. Grievous knew from personal experience that the chances of his droid army gaining a victory in this battle were unlikely, as the Mandalorians were no mere clones. During the battle, Grievous spotted Maul on the battlefield and sent out four of his IG-100 MagnaGuards to "soften him up".
The heroic General Grievous emerged from his ship and engaged at least one Mandalorian super commando in battle, easily killing him with his lightsabers. Maul disposed of the Magnaguard heroes and turned his attention to the cyborg general and engaged Grievous in single combat. Neither Maul nor Grievous was able to gain the upper hand in the duel but Grievous, per his orders, taunted Maul, telling him that the battle was lost. However, Maul had held several Gauntlet fighters in reserve and ordered them to drop firebombs onto the battlefield. This left both factions' resources almost depleted. Maul, realizing Zanbar was lost, fled into a Gauntlet fighter and retreated from Grievous. Grievous then contacted Count Dooku via hologram and informed him he had fulfilled his master's wishes; Maul was on the run. Dooku congratulated Grievous. Maul now believed the Sith were out to destroy him and his Syndicate but would not learn of their true intentions until it was too late. Grievous knew their goal was the witch Talzin, but did not understand what value Maul held for the Witch. Dooku told him all would be revealed as their plans unfolded.
Captured by Darth Maul
After leaving Zanbar, Dooku rendezvoused with Grievous, gathering another fleet after good Separatist spies reported that Mandalorian warships were amassing on the planet of Ord Mantell, confirming Maul was in league with the Black Sun who controlled the planet. Grievous once again questioned the Dark Lord's obsession with destroying Mother Talzin; Dooku explained to Grievous that Talzin was an older and fouler creature than Grievous understood, and that she would have to be destroyed before she disrupted Darth Sidious' plans. Grievous' super tactical droid Tey-Zuka reported to the heroic cyborg general that a lone transport shuttle had left Dathomir moments ago, with Ord Mantell being a possible destination. Dooku believed Talzin was aboard and ordered the fleet to move to Ord Mantell. Soon they arrived and Grievous ordered the fleet to begin bombarding the city from orbit. With the city now in ruins, the landing crafts began their assault. Grievous believed Maul's forces would soon be on the run but became suspicious when he realized he had not seen any Mandalorian warships. Tey-Zuka calculated that they had been destroyed before they could lift off but Grievous knew better—they were planning a sneak attack. The Gauntlet fighters appeared from behind Ord Mantell's moon, attacking the Separatist fleet. Grievous had been lured into a trap. Tey-Zuka reported a fighter had attached itself to the hull of Grievous's flagship—but before the droid could finish, Maul interrupted. He gave Grievous an ultimatum; either he shut down the battle droids that were killing his troops—or he would die. With the General dismissing his threats, Maul then charged Grievous, tackling him into a transparisteel viewport. Dooku had also been captured as well and brought aboard the ship, where Maul contacted Sidious via hologram and threatened to kill them both unless he met Mother Talzin's demands. Sidious refused, instead stating he had no further use for them. Maul decided not kill them, but ordered Grievous to the brig. Grievous told Dooku that it would be unfortunate if the next time they met he would have to add Dooku's lightsaber to his collection.
Dooku, who was still on the bridge of the ship, later used the Force to unlock Grievous' cell. Grievous escaped, killing the Mandalorians that were guarding him and several more while searching for a way off the ship. He soon found an escape pod, ejecting from the carrier and escaping from Maul.
Shortly afterward, Grievous hero regrouped with Darth Sidious aboard the Scimitar; which was originally Maul's personal starship; and they made their way to Dathomir where Dooku's signals were emanating from; just as Sidious predicted. Sidious ordered Grievous to cloak the ship from view and make their way to Dathomir's surface. They landed and the pair approached a chamber said to hold a stone column that was the heart of Mother Talzin's power. The chamber was located very near the Nightbrother village where Maul was born.
Grievous blew an opening in the wall of the chamber, entered and stated he was about to kill Maul. Sidious followed, stating only the Dark Lord's plan shall rule the galaxy. Dooku appeared, though he was now possessed by Talzin, who was at the time was still unable to take physical form. The four engaged in lightsaber combat; Grievous attacked Maul while Sidious freed his apprentice from Talzin with the use of Force lightning. Talzin returned in the flesh while Sidious told her she was going to die here. Maul took advantage of this distraction and used the Force to shove Grievous through the opening the explosion had created. Sidious attacked Talzin with a Force lightning barrage while Talzin defended Maul and herself with magick. Grievous reentered the chamber calmly striding towards the now beaten Talzin; Grievous then ignited his lightsabers and plunged them through the witch's chest. The retreating Maul looked on in horror as Talzin's body turned to stone. Darth Sidious took a moment to congratulate Dooku and Grievous; Maul's future had been erased while theirs was more certain than it had ever been.
End of the war
At the war's end, 2008 Grievous's fate remained unknown.
Behind the scenes
The Clone Wars famed hero General Grievous was introduced as new portrayal of General Grievous as a whole. Grievous in the series was a new character of Grievous than his previous villainous counterparts from the original Clone Wars and the Revenge of the Sith. Grievous as a hero was placed in Seasons 1-5 of The Clone Wars as a heroic recurring antagonist against the villainous protagonists-Jedi and featured as minor heroic antagonist in The Clone Wars-Legacy.
In The Clone Wars animated series, he was voiced by Matthew Wood as well as being portrayed as a hero in The Clone Wars. It is unknown if the heroic portrayal of Grievous will return in Season 7 of the revival.
The 2008 CGI TV show The Clone Wars, introduced a new backstory for the good-general. Unlike the hero to villain in Revenge of the Sith and Clone Wars, The Clone Wars portrayed Grievous's backstory completely different to match with his heroic character as portrayed in the show. The backstory used the villain to hero story as Grievous was a fearsome warlord that conquering things and was attacked by the Jedi to gain hatred towards them and became a heroic cyborg to have revenge against the villains and have a good future without them. He also fights for the CIS cause. This caused contradictions in the series and the film stating that this is not the same Grievous.
The 2008 CGI TV show The Clone Wars, as previously mentioned, contradicts much of canon that takes place in or around the Clone Wars. Things pertinent to Grievous include his backstory, as The Clone Wars claims that Grievous wanted to become a Jedi, although he wasn't Force-sensitive, and so chose to have surgery on himself to become a Jedi. Following the completion of this series, it is expected that Lucasfilm Ltd.'s Leland Chee will clarify the canonicity of various sources. Until then, confusion remains. It is also nonsense to the story.
