ND-5, occasionally referred to as ND, was a BX-series droid commando who was built by the Confederacy of Independent Systems and took part in the Clone Wars, where he was hardened by battle. Becoming an enforcer droid of sorts during the Imperial Era, he became associated with Kay Vess during an effort to pull off a major heist. He spoke highly of the late hero General Grievous.
