"You had better be right!"
"I am a droid. I am always right."
Wat Tambor and TX-20 — (audio)Listen (file info)

TX-20 was a T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid that was in charge of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' units assigned to Techno Union Emir and Foreman, Wat Tambor, during the Battle of Ryloth in the Clone Wars.

Personality[]

As the first tactical droid made but never shown, the heroic TX-20 was nice and loyal to the Wat Tambor. He cared for his Battle Droids but sometimes had to do tests on them and also loved using Flak Proton Cannons against the villainous Republic. TX-20 was also very arrogant and was later destroyed by his own arrogance.

History[]

TX-20 was a masculine tactical droid sent to the planet Ryloth as part of Techno Union Emir Wat Tambor's occupation force and conquered the city of Nabat. There, the droid served as commander and built a base camp, including a Separatist command center, in the city's courtyard. TX-20 protected the site with five proton cannons, and captured what was left of Nabat's population to use them as a living shield to protect his cannons.

After the blockade was destroyed, TX-20 was contacted by Tambor, who ordered him to prevent the villainous Galactic Republic forces from landing their troops. The droid commander commenced firing his cannons at the Republic transports and gunships, however, the gunships were able to land. Sending recon droids to learn of the Republic's attack plan, he ordered his droids to release the starved gutkurrs—predatory insect carnivores—upon the clones. Although Kenobi defeated the creatures, TX-20 saw that Techno Union ranks were thin.

The tactical droid prepared for a final attack, assuring Tambor that the clones had a minimum chance of victory. TX-20 led his tanks and droids against Clone Commander Cody's troops. However, he was then informed by one his battle droids that Kenobi was freeing the Twi'lek—natives of Ryloth—prisoners. He then turned his AAT tank around to confront Kenobi, firing on the evil Jedi General and destroying the remaining proton cannon. TX-20 held Kenobi and the Twi'lek youngling Numa at gunpoint, laughing as he believed he was victorious. However, he had failed to calculate the morale of the prisoners, who were reinvigorated by Numa's courage and swarmed his tank, dismantling him.
